What I Learned From Luke Bryan's New Album
I have so much to learn. And I'm starting to think Luke Bryan is just the guy to teach me. His latest album, Doin' My Thing, out today (Oct. 6), is full of life lessons. Like the fact that corn makes whiskey ("Rain Is a Good Thing"). I did not know that. Nor did I know what a .30-06 was ("Drinkin' Beer and Wastin' Bullets") or that Coke from a green glass bottle is colder than that plastic stuff ("Welcome to the Farm"). I also learned that even men get that feeling like you two are just going through the motions ("Do I") and that country boys rarely learn from their mistakes ("I Did It Again"). Plus I discovered that I love, love, love the harmonica ("Doin' My Thing"). It's 11 tracks of good, educational country music.

I’m gonna get this new cd, I seen Luke at the Tennessee Valley Fair this year and he is very good live. I think he will be the next big thing!!
Alison W says:
Hm, I’ve never been a huge luke bryan fan but maybe I’ll check it out
Annie says:
I love Luke’s voice. it’s very distinctive from other new male artist that I couldn’t differenciate on the radio. I love his material like “All My Friends Say” and “Country Man”, I think it suits him amazingly well…better than ballads.
Illinois countrygirl says:
I didn’t take notice until “Country Man”, love that song still! I’m gonna get this new cd, sounds really good!
todd says:
Wastin bullets is probably the one of the best songs I ever heard. Saw him at world cafe live. Awsome show. Sounds awsome in concert as on the radio
Billy says:
Good post Alison…I can’t stop listening to Luke’s new CD. Todd is right too, Wastin’ Bullets is an awesome song on this album. Here is a little blog I wrote about Luke and a video of him performing Wastin’ Bullets http://tinyurl.com/yha495q
