Before Taylor Swift's "Love Story," Dolly Parton Had "Romeo"
Remember this one? Not only was I an 8-year-old fan of Dolly Parton at the time but I had also just started receiving my Billy Ray Cyrus fan club newsletters in the mail each month. (No, I'm not joking.) So, as you can imagine, I immediately began two-stepping to this new step. She recorded this single for her Slow Dancing With the Moon album 17 years ago this week in Nashville and I'm still enjoying it. The video also features Tanya Tucker, Mary Chapin Carpenter and Kathy Mattea. Reminisce and check, check, check, check, check it out ...

Wow I remember this, hadn’t thought of it or heard it in years. Kinda sad how fast time passes by and before we know it we turn around and we’re approaching middle age. Dolly is one of a kind, but I’m glad to see that there are other great women out there to carry on the tradition of beautiful, sexy and intelligent females in country music, like Taylor and Miranda and Carrie and others.
Thanks for giving me a time portal into a couple decades ago :)

I remember when Dolly sang country music. That’s going way back though.

Oh my gosh! Dolly was a cougar before they had a name. Thanks for the smiles and memories. They are still hot!
