Faith Hill's Fragrance Celebrates Women's Beauty

Posted: September 28th, 2009 at 10:11 am  |  By: Alison Bonaguro

Faith HillA new Web site is on the verge of launching to promote Faith Hill's debut fragrance and on it, there's a video of Hill asking you to celebrate the beauty of being a woman. Hmmm. The beauty of being a woman? That could mean so many things. Let's see. We can give birth! We are nurturing! We can wear pretty clothes! We look good in high heels! Or could the "beauty of being a woman" be that we are just the very antithesis of men? That we don't have to shave our beards, take out the trash, clean the gutters or have the burden of being the most likely breadwinner? I'm sure the fragrance celebrates both kinds of beauty. From the looks of the outside of the bottle, with its little black grosgrain ribbon, there's a whole lot of pretty inside.

I have been out for a while but I can’t believe what it said on here about faith hill! faith has always been so good to her fans never upset anyone (I just remembered that thing with cu you people must still think about that) that is the only reason that I can think of why some of you are being so mean! she looks great!!!

The only UGLY on here are the ones making slanderous comments. Don’t like her, don’t look at her. I’m sure you’re not all model material either. I happen to think she looks just fine.

Faith looks okay but there are far more attractive women her age. She looks better than most of the oinkers out there at your local mall, but she is no longer as attractive as hollywood celebrities.

I agree countryiscool she is beautiful. It’s just jealousy there’s alot of that on cmt.

Haha, once celebrities hit their 40’s, they can’t win. If they get cosmetic surgery, people slander them for spending all that money on becoming plastic and not being real. If they don’t spend thousands upon thousands to get work done, then they are slandered for not looking like they are 25 anymore. Faith is aging beautifully, it’s too bad some of you have to be so mean to her just because she doesn’t look like she’s in her 20’s anymore. I hope people aren’t as mean to you when you get older.

I really do not have any ideas where these hate comments are coming from. If it is from the way Faith reacted when Carrie won, that is just sad. I am a huge Carrie fan. Faith apologized to Carrie. She did not mean for her reaction to be taken like that and guess what? Carrie did not take offense at all. Thats the only reason I can maybe see these hate comments, but they are still so harsh.

Allison I am really sorry, but I agree with Janethijoenurse on this one. I do not believe you want to spark this feud but it happened. Please delete this blog. I never want Faith to see these comments

Why read the article if you are not fan. Some people just write a comment to be nasty. I do not read some of the articles if I am not a fan of that person. And I have more respect and intelligence not to write nasty and untrue comments.

  • Bullride says:

    Posted: September 28th, 2009 at 5:35 pm

I say it comes with the territory. Faith Hill is a celebrity figure, by her choice. You have to take the insults along with the accolades. That’s just the way it is, and personally I see nothing wrong with it. What is it that they say? Oh yeah, That’s show biz.

  • janetgijoenurse says:

    Posted: September 28th, 2009 at 5:45 pm

Bullride there is a BIG difference in critiquing an artist’s work, that comes with the territory an artist has to expect that. There will be fans an non fans.

But when you start slandering the person, someone you don’t know that is wrong and that is NOT right.

beauty is in the eye of the beholder and I for one think Faith Hill is beautiful and the years haven’t change that….and I liked Alison’s comment about a whole lot of pretty inside…that is what many of us who admire Faith believe…beautiful inside and out….WTG Faith and thanks Alison for letting folks know that she has embarked on an interesting and creative marketing campaign….and to those who hide behind usernames to make nasty comments just because you can…shame!

  • Bullride says:

    Posted: September 28th, 2009 at 6:12 pm

Sorry but I disagree. I consider them fair game. It’s their choice to be in the spotlight. Sometimes the lighting isn’t so nice. I also support the paparazzi. It’s all in the game.

  • countryiscool says:

    Posted: September 28th, 2009 at 6:40 pm

It may come with the territory Bullride, but one need not be so nasty about comments. Jennifer & Christine, I’m with you 100% Remove this blog if people are just going to be this infantile and name calling.

I THINK MOST OF THESE SLANDER COMMENTS SHOULD BE DELETED I WOULD NEVER WANT FAITH TO READ THESE EITHER!

  • solongsowrong says:

Ahhhh, Mainstream Country….. where it’s always about the music!

  • countryiscool says:

    Posted: September 28th, 2009 at 10:04 pm

good one solong…lol although I thought that was GAC’s promo.

  • hotelmotel says:

    Posted: September 28th, 2009 at 11:44 pm

Mainstream country isn’t about the music, as solongsowrong points out, though whether this is a good or bad or neutral thing is probably in the eye of the beholder.

As for Faith, I agree with Bullride. Its a celebrity’s choice to be in the spotlight. Though that doesn’t mean people should slander the celebrities, criticism is fair game.

Faith is presenting herself not just as a singer but as a beautiful woman who sells perfume. Its certainly fair of people to contest that and to argue that Faith doesn’t have the image that they would want from someone selling them perfume.

Its true that some of the comments are quite nasty. The extremely nasty comments only undermine their author’s points, just as those who act as if their favorite singer, be it Faith or Tim or whomever, is some sort of diety.

In my view, Faith Hill is not ugly, and she looks better than most women her age, but neither is she a 25 year old model anymore. But if she is going to be portratyed as some paragon of beauty to attach to perfume ads, we can imagine some people scoffing.

Faith is still going strong. (Again Grow up.) Faith is more versatile and has many more years under her belt to brag about. I like Carrie too but no need to bash Faith. Who I would rather listen to. Her songs and voice is much more versatile.

Hi, I’m a big Faith Hill@Tim McGraw fan!
I’ve was raised in my sleep on country music as a young child and grew up watching HeeHaw, I don’t like your comment’s about Faith! I was country when country was’nt cool! I hope whoever read’s this understand’s this, It would be a shock for me if I was on a award’s show and I saw someone that young winning! Carrie is amazing! But I believe Faith Hill just like me was in shock to see such a young person win the award if you are referring c.u. winning the CAM AWARD, Now it is even more shocking to see her winning all the time you have to work hard to get to the top, carrie just got lucky no doubt she is incredible, at what she does, and barbiedoll of country now, My belief is that I would have looked shocked too and I believe in my heart that faith hill did not mean anything at all, by her reaction, that was unfortunately caught on tape?? I have never felt any different about her, Just like the other lady’s of country music I love them all, if it help’s no one can ever or will ever beat Reba McEntire! and frankly they are playing cu so much that I’m feeling she is overplayed by radio, and Reba was the only women to ever get that much airplay and I will never get sick of listening to Reba! And may I add one more comment I’m so glad Faith Hill was not on the plane of Reba’s that crashed that night, she is a true blessing to the world of country music and has worked hard along beside Tim Mcgraw and I would like to thank Faith Hill for bringing us the best in country music all thru the year’s and say I love her just like I love all the men and women country singer’s I’m not saying carrie underwood has not payed her dues I’m just saying I grew up on country music and I had the same reaction, I’m so excited about faith hill’s new perfume I’m happy for her why can’t the world appreciate all the singer’s and thier hard work I’m grateful and love them all, carrie underwood should be in the world’s book of record’s she’s a young artist that has done something no one else has done!!! win and keep winning one right after another!! that is not how it is in entertainment, I’m glad to see someone else win and that is taylor swift she to is young it’s hard for me to see so many young people win, that have not been in the industry for as long as Reba, Faith, Martina, the powerhouse vocal’s of country music, if this is such a issue it’s time for the industry to get smart and have several award’s for the young and older, a mix of award’s! country music continues to add so many new artist that they still forget the legend’s and they don’t get all the recognition they deserve for all thier hard work!! I miss the history if I could I would be just satisfied with a channel I could watch of all the legend’s of country music and where it came from, I too can’t get use to all these young artist they are like babies they are great but they did’nt really grow up with Loretta Lynn, I had to teach my daughter how to sing Loretta Lynn style these teen’s don’t have a clue about the beginning, I was one of those that got made fun of for singing it like barbra mandrell’s song I was a Country when Country Was’nt Cool!!! And there’s someone else I miss and that is Donna Fargo she is so U.S.A.!!! Love to our world of Country Music singer’s and legend’s and goodluck to all you babyboomer’s! like Carrie who are taking it all home?????????? It never use to be like that it is hard to become famous and it takes alot of work to get there!!! like Faith Hill a lady who is godgifted and worked hard to get to the top!!! I love you faith for all you have done, I hope all you carrie fan’s read this and remember that nothing comes that easy, carrie is very fortunate! to have come so far in very little time and she is just amazing and I thank her for all that she give’s to africa, and the world!! Just like faith they have the power to make this world a better place so stop putting these singer’s in catagories!! Love K-LEE
