Start Celebrating Toby Keith's Songwriting With Me
Toby Keith's known for a lot of things. Speaking his mind, having an attitude, fighting with the Dixie Chicks, starting his own record label and all that. But he doesn't get enough credit for his excellent songwriting. Well, until now. Now he's receiving this big fat award from the Nashville Songwriters Association International. It's the songwriter-artist of the decade award. The decade. That means 10 long years of major hits flowed from his pen. The official awards event will take place on Oct. 18, but I think I'm going to pull out some old Toby Keith CDs and start celebrating right now. Starting with "You Ain't Much Fun" and "My List" right on through to "A Little too Late" and "God Love Her." What are some of the Keith songs you love the most?

How many of these songs were a co-write with Scotty Emerick. I know there are a ton of songs that they wrote with each other. So does Toby really deserve the credit of songwriter of the decade?
