Rascal Flatts Get Around With a Beach Boy

Posted: September 9th, 2009 at 2:15 pm  |  By: Alison Bonaguro

Rascal FlattsWho didn't love the Beach Boys? Especially in the summer? Their music is as iconic and important as that of some of country's biggest legends. And now the Beach Boys' guitarist and occasional vocalist, Al Jardine, is going to hang with Rascal Flatts at the Musicians Hall of Fame awards show on Oct. 12 at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center in Nashville. There's no word on whether they'll each do a set or perform together. But if they are open to suggestions, I think they should make it like a CMT Crossroads kind of thing. Rascal Flatts would go crazy on the harmonies on "Wouldn't It Be Nice" or "Help Me, Rhonda," and maybe Jardine could take over the vocals on tunes like "Bless the Broken Road" and "Prayin' for Daylight." Tickets are on sale now.
