Go Figure: See "Carrie Underwood" in Wax
Carrie Underwood's figure is on the move. Not her figure figure. But her wax figure. A wax statue of Carrie Underwood is going on a little vacation from Madame Tussauds New York and will be spending the fall and winter season in Washington, D.C., at the Madame Tussauds there. If you're in the neighborhood, stop by the Glamour Room and give Underwood's wax alter ego a hug and get your picture taken with her/it. It's so lifelike, even up close, probably because Underwood herself spent more than an hour with the artists on the day of the figure sitting and because she donated a replica of the gorgeous Trish Townsend dress that she wore to the 2006 CMA Awards. While you're there, be sure to check out Michelle Obama, Madonna and Beyoncé. Also, Miley Cyrus' reproduction will be hanging with Underwood's through Monday (Sept. 7).

Obviously, you don’t know the real Carrie to the performer Carrie John!!!
Do I detect some jealousy about this blog.
Thanks Allison for this blog, what an honor for Carrie and for people that will be in that area.
OuidaW says:
John, she is beautiful with or without makeup. You should just try to keep your neg comments to yourself. If you don’t like Carrie, don’t read about her.
thetruefan says:
S have you seen her without that eyeliner? She’s scary looking
thetruefan says:
Carrie NEVER puts on a stitch of make up. She has professional people do it for her and they do an amazing job. She looks beautiful with or without makeup and I’ve seen her up close both ways. She is a lovely girl.
Mark Brown says:
Well Said thetruefan!!! And you are right Ouida W if you can’t say something good don’t say it at all. Carrie is a great artist!! I can not wait until she returns to MISSISSIPPI!!!
barb b says:
carrie is not scary
jealously is kicking
in
kayko says:
Truefan, look around on the blogs and tell me Carrie fans don’t bash. You’re doing it right now. I have never said a negative word against Carrie, as a matter of fact I wish her continued success.
dalylah says:
hey people relax!..i love carrie and taylor more carrie then taylor but i dont think its nice to bash either one..they are friends and speak highly of each other, respect and root for one another why cant taylor and carrie fans just get along already?…why do you fans of either lady hate them so much?? i dont get you?..
carrie doesnt wear a lot of make-up?? what?? shes a girl and most girls wear make-up…i’ve seen her with just mascara in pictures and she has nice features..and in person i have met her and she doesnt wear anymore then the average girl…she had light green eyeshadow mild eyeliner and mascara…and her skin was flawless!!…oh yea and she had gloss on…how is that too much make up…you want to see too much make-up look at christina aguilera (she needs to relax shes a beautifull girl she doesnt need so much)…you people who say she does are crazy….girls love make-up so what!!
shae says:
beyonce, jessica simpson, martina, shania, faith, julianne, taylor, jordin sparks, eva longoria, etc…they all wear make up and its just like carrie’s….this is what girls do “we wear make-up”….”duh”….is she suppost to look like kelly clarkson and let herself go??….puh-lease people grow up…
Summming it up says:
Dalylah- Thank you so much. The fact is that extreme fans from either side are so disrespectful to eachother. They do not realize that this forces moderate fans to take sides, instead of being able to enjoy the music from both artists. If everyone just got along Carrie would earn more fans from the new teenagers, while Taylor would earn more fans from those in the twenties. They both respect eachother so why cant we.
John that was beyond rude and it was uncalled for. Kayko you cannot put all Carrie fans in the same bubble. AND it is not only Carrie fans that act the way you described.
sariah says:
you kids always find the stupidest things to argue about such as: she wears too much make-up…com’on are you people serious? you find anything and anything to pick on carrie about and its not even true…why dont you pick on her ability to sing..oh right because you cant because shes has talent so you stoop so low to pick on the other things that really dont matter especially when its not true.
carrie is beautifull Mike Fisher seems to think so he travels in her bus im sure he has seen her with the make-up off when she washes her face…and guess what he still loves her i doubt carrie needs an ounce of make-up her entourage have said she has the prettiest face so she is so easy to work on…..get over it people get over it!
Hello Hello says:
Well said Sariah. That was a very immature comment. If Carrie and Taylor read any of this they would be hurt. They are both still young. No one should ever be called out on looks. It is tactless and catty.
Thomas says:
I love it! Carrie fans that say negative things about Taylor ALL the time telling people not to say mean things about Carrie and to keep our negative comments to ourselves. Hypocrisy, much? Maybe some of you should practice what you preach.
Tenn says:
You know these boards really weren’t like this before - it was mostly adults conversing and throwing out opinions , and Carrie’s detractors were older fans of others you could actually have a conversation with - now it’s become like Kindergarten 101 around here with the new influx of younguns trapsing the halls - I don’t know about this young
computer generation, they learn to be unkind anonymously and
that really doesn’t bode well for our society as a whole - now to the subject at hand - I have never been to Madame Tussaud’s but from the images I’ve seen of Carrie’s likeness, it must be pretty amazing to see them up close in person.
thetruefan says:
Yes, Tenn when the kids took over Nashville, they immaturity started. It is difficult for kids to take negative critism, and it always becomes an attack. Thank God there are adults still around on Carrie’s board that can carry on a civil conversation with someone with differing opinions.
diamond says:
Iam sorry but do they need to bring up this wax figure again,it was last years news can’t you guys come up with something else!! taylor, shania, faith, martine and reba rock not carrie so much sorry but it is what alot of people think!!have a nice day!
thetruefan says:
diamond, are you aware that the Nashville elite consider Carrie to be the Best Female Vocalist for the past 3 years? I think they know a little more about who “rocks” than you do.
emi says:
she is gorgeous
Lani says:
That is really cool they are moving it for others to see. I would like to visit this museum..and see all the other figures they have also. They did a pretty good job on Carrie though nothing can of course match the real thing. She is really so beautiful. Thanks for the blog. Interesting stuff…I had no idea they ever moved them.
Thomas says:
Stop being so defensive, Carrie fans. Not everyone loves her. You all need top stop attacking other artists if you’re going to get all worked up over people not loving Carrie.
Joe M. says:
At least it’s all about her music.
Tenn says:
Yep - Joe M you’re right it is all about the music- that’s why we’re fans in the first place but as for this blog I never realized Mdme Tussaud’s had so many museums - LA and
Washington along with NYC ??- must be a popular place
Greg says:
Thomas- Carrie fans and Taylor fans are both mean to eachother. It comes from both sides.
Sami says:
I am going to DC around Thanksgiving with my Mom and Dad–and we are going to see Carrie’s wax figure. A friend of my Mom’s saw it and said it was beautiful and looks just like Carrie. You are right Tenn-this should be about Carrie-her music and her wax figure, but I don’t post very often and I have been reading the articles on all the artists. Some of the Carrie fans bash but it is mostly Taylor and Kelly Pickler fans that bash. I am young too but I think it is wrong to do this. All three artists try to do their best to get good music out there and please their fans. I feel the more bashing they do-the more it turns me off their artist. I don’t think the artists want their fans to do this. But there are a lot of very young ones on here and they can dish it out but they can’t take it. Sad…..
countryiscool says:
Although Taylor is not my favorite, I think she’s having fun and has lots of fans. I like Kellie & Carrie better, but can appreciate (all) their uniqueness, talents, personality, etc.
To each his/her own, no reason to bash any artist just because they are not your favorite. I do believe we are allowed to love more than one artist at a time anyway. Just enjoy yours. I agree with Sami, I’m sure it hurts the artists to see their fans engaging in this juvenile behavior.
to Shae says:
Agree! Nothing wrong with makeup.
julianne says:
i think carrie is one of the most beautifull woman and people out there and her make-up is fine!..she wears as much as any normal girl out there she doesnt need it i have seen her with a little on and i think shes most prettiest natural looking, however some of you make it seem like she wears as much as tammy faye baker!!….you people are exagerating, not true at all..and SHAE you are right on they do wear the same as carrie too!..
omaiah says:
i love and respect carrie for her hard work and her hard earned success it probably wasnt easy being the new kid on the block and just stepping off a reality tv show she had a lot to proove and she had a lot of pressure riding on her shoulders to proove that she deserved to be with the rest of her fellow country super stars..she has established herself and has planted her foot solid in country and i am so proud of her, pretty good huh? for a shy small town southern country girl!…love miss underwood !!…i think for myself and her fans can probably agree with me on this, we admire, love carrie for her vocals her beautifull songs that she has blessed us all in different ways, she has touched us all thru music we feel a connection with her because of that and her charm and her sweet personality, and the fact that she always thanks us at concerts she calls us her bosses! “lol” and she is very grateful for what she has she doesnt take it for granted she knows that it can all go away..she has said in an acceptance speech once “she doesnt know why God has blessed her and she will try figuring that out for the rest of her life…i can answer that for carrie…God blessed her with an amazing gift to bless others thru her music she uplifts her fans spirits and she moves us, she also has a good heart and she helps others who are less fortunate she is doing good things for people and not just thru music but she is giving back she is a good person and God knew she would bless the world with her voice and her heart…thank God for carrie!!…
just a carrie fan stopping by on a carrie blog for the right reasons :)
Taylorwho? says:
Thomas, it’s the people who think their artist is the best that are threatened by Carrie’s talent. They get defensive and attack first, EVERY TIME.
whyPeopleWhy says:
im so tired of carrie vs. taylor…it seems some fans cant get past that they are both different and are respectively talented in their own right…they are very successfull and have millions and millions of fans that love them…i just dont understand if someone can please explain to me why do carrie and taylor fans argue about nonsense on blogsites ?? what did carrie or taylor do to each other to piss off fans of either side??….
Taylorwho? says:
why, it’s really quite simple. Carrie can sing and Taylor can’t and Taylor fans are so intimidated that they want to argue fact. Carrie has won every voice award imaginable and Taylor has yet to win one. Have you ever heard Taylor sing live? It’s actually embarassing.
