New Videos: Alan Jackson's "Bologna," "Doctor Dolly," Terri Clark's return, Jason Michael Carroll's Family Memory

In new videos screened by the CMT New Music Video Evaluation Team, Alan Jackson still loves his bologna, Dolly Parton puts on her lab coat, Terri Clark returns in her "Gypsy Boots" and Jason Michael Carroll's "Hurry Home" tells a story from his family album.

Artist: Alan Jackson
Video: "I Still Like Bologna"
Director: Scott Scovill

"I Still Like Bologna" is the latest video from Alan Jackson's Good Time CD collection of songs. He rounds up every cute kid in the neighborhood for a little party.

Panelists' comments: "Awww!" "Never vote against cute kids." "This is way understated. It's just a smile and a chuckle. It could've been a laugh-out-loud video."

Artist: Terri Clark
Video: "Gypsy Boots"
Director: Margaret Malandruccolo

Terri Clark returns from a career sabbatical, during which she cared for her ill mother. Her first new video is a bit of a departure for her, but it's the still the same Terri.

Panelists' comments: "I like that. It's different from anything she's done before." "You know, I've missed her." "She is downright serious here."

Artist: Dolly Parton
Video: "Change It"
Director: Mike Hagler, Steve Summers

Dolly Parton dons the persona of "Doctor Dolly" in her role as a TV life-advice counselor. You got something wrong with your life? Her advice to you: Change it!

Panelists' comments: "That's the thing about Dolly's funny videos. You either love ‘em or hate ‘em." "This one's way different!" "I dunno about this."

Artist: Jason Michael Carroll
Video: "Hurry Home"
Director: Chris Hicky

Jason Michael Carroll spins a tale based on the true story of an aunt who ran away as a child. The video also informs about the National Runaway Switchboard.

Panelists' comments: "I love that." "I like it, but you should never stop the music in a video." "You're right. That just lets all the air out of it."

Consensus: Alan Jackson's "I Still Like Bologna" debuted in hot shot rotation on CMT on Monday (Aug. 24).

Either Jackson is making a childrens CD, or he’s taking his place in Kiddie Country way too seriously. This is embarrassing.
