Dolly Teaches You a Dam Lesson in "Change It"
Though she may not be the Dalai Lama, there's a lot to be learned from Dolly Parton. Just watch her new video, "Change It," as she offers up her wisdom, Dolly-style. When I first applied for an internship at CMT, all of my peers told me my letter was written all wrong. When I asked them why, their responses were all the same -- "Because it's all about Dolly Parton, Whitney. You can't write a letter all about Dolly Parton." But I disagreed and sent it anyway. I was accepted later that summer. Even today, her music continues to teach and nicely clarify life's problems. Take for instance this "Change It" lyric: "Cause when somethin' that you know, is damming up the flow, tear the damn dam down." Better yet, watch and let Dolly explain it.

I like her Better get to living, but this song is great too. I needed to see this now. Going through alot of dumb things.
She should do public speaking cause she could make alot of people feel good for themselves.
She should do her own talk show :)

I loved her in the movie “Straight Talk” where she played a radio host. Great soundtrack too, wish I could find it.

I love everything Dolly does!! Im 42 years old, been a fan since I was 4 years old!!! I have been through alot over the years and Dolly and her music has always been there for me, helped me through some some pretty rough spots.

I’m sure glad you didn’t listen to your friends Whitney!! Icould easily write a paper about all about her on how inspiring she is and so much more. I also really love this video it shows Dolly just being her natural goofy self and having fun, the song as well goes right up there with “Better Get to Livin’” I love it. GIVE IT A CHANCE CMT!!

Well I’m glad that your friends were wrong! Papers should be written about Dolly Parton! She is truly and amazing women. She is more than just a great song writer she is a great philanthropist as well. She has contributed more to this world just so far in 2009 than most will there entire life.
