New Music Videos From Keith Urban, Reba, Jake Owen, Holly Williams

In this week's new entries screened by the CMT New Music Video Evaluation Panel, Keith Urban and Reba bring live footage, Jake Owen heats it up and Holly Williams is back with a pensive song.

Artist: Keith Urban
Video: "Only You Can Love Me This Way"
Director: Chris Hicky

Keith Urban returns with a live concert video, this one of the song "Only You Can Love Me This Way." And this one is a little more low-key than you're used to seeing in his live videos.

Panelists' comments: "Sweet!" "That was the coolest live concert video. Who directed it?" "Well-done video." "Nice photo pic on cell phone."

Artist: Reba McEntire
Video: "Consider Me Gone" (Excerpt From CMT's Invitation Only)
Director: Ivan Dudynsky

"Consider Me Gone" is from Reba McEntire's upcoming album, Keep On Loving You. It's her first album for the Valory label.

Panelists' comments: "This is her current single." "Brought to you by Al's Oriental Rug Shop." "I like that a lot." "I love the song."

Artist: Holly Williams
Video: "Alone"
Director: Philip Andelman

Holly Williams' much-praised album, Here With Me, continues to inspire quite different videos from the artist. "Alone" is an introspective song she wrote.

Panelists' comments: "That song is my favorite off her album." "Holly keeps making very intriguing videos."

Artist: Jake Owen
Video: "Eight Second Ride"
Director: Deaton Flanigen

"Eight Second Ride," which Jake Owen co-wrote with Eric Durrance, is a song that's fairly dripping with double-entendres. So is this video, in which the riding is done in the bed of a pickup truck.

Panelists' comments: "I can't say my comment on that one." "I love it!" "Yummy!" "That's a big ole hit with the young crowd."

Consensus: Keith Urban's "Only You Can Love Me This Way" and Reba McEntire's "Consider Me Gone" debuted in hot shot rotation on CMT on Monday (Aug. 10). Jake Owen's "Eight Second Ride" debuted in heavy rotation on Monday. Also, David Nail's "Red Light" moved from the hold file to debut in medium rotation on Monday.

Another wonderful song by Keith! What I love about it is it can be taken two different perspectives: from person to person ( a love song ) or from a spiritual aspect. (Sort of like Lady A’s “I Run To You.”)
