I'll Take Charlie Daniels for $100

Charlie DanielsI've only seen the Charlie Daniels Band live once, and it was excellent. A once-in-a-lifetime experience, I thought at the time. They did all their big hits, and Daniels fiddled like crazy and charmed the audience like no one I've seen since. But now the Grand Ole Opry member is going to be performing right at the Wildhorse Saloon in Nashville on Aug. 27. He hasn't done a downtown show since 2005, I've heard. But now he's doing this gig as part of the Nashville Songwriters Association International's "It All Begins With a Song" series. Best of all, though, if you pay a little extra for your ticket ($100), you get a meet-and-greet with the legend himself.

I think the world of Charlie Daniels! He is amazing. I met him once (lucky me) and was very impressed by the legend!!!
I live in Québec so the concert is a little far for me, but I would love to see him live once again!!! Inspiring!

I had the opportunity to escort Charlie and his manager around at the Republican Convention for a few hours and it was the best night ever!! He was super nice and relaxed. I got to drive down in a chauffered luxury car, picked him up at his hotel and spent the whole night assisting them.

BEST. Night. EVER! Thanks Charlie and Dean!!!!!

can’t believe he’s 72 and he goes at this so hard and fast, with such a big smile on his face. Saw him last night at the Freedom Concert in DFW texas… been 20 years since I saw him last play, and he is more vigorous and happy than ever!

They played a long instrumental piece that would have been right at home in a jazz bar in Manhattan, these guys are MASTER musicians.. Charlie played jazz guitar right along with ‘em, every bit as good.. it was a short show cuz of the other acts but wow, CDB is still SMOKIN…
