Five Questions About Whitney Duncan's "Skinny Dippin'"
Have you seen Whitney Duncan's video for her new sexy little song "Skinny Dippin'"? Well, if not, I should warn you that there's not a whole lot of swimming going on. Singing and kissing and flirting and undressing, yes. But swimming? Not so much. When you watch the video real close, though, and listen to the lyrics, you will be able to rock this trivia game. It takes about one minute to answer the five simple questions, like how did he talk her into it and what did they take off. It's fun, in a mindless kind of way. And it might just make you feel like skinny dippin'. Or at least like getting to know Duncan's throaty Southern drawl a little bit better.

Not impressed with the video, vocals or lyrics. After hearing and seeing this video it doesn’t make me want to check out Whitney Duncan’s music more.

Whitney is a true southern girl born and bred - she has southern hospitality down - and is a great live singer. Warm and friendly is my assessment of Duncan’s charm. This is a good song and a great video.

Duncan might do ok on pop country charts with the right song, but “Skinny Dippin” just isnt all that good.

Well if it’s mindless, I see why it caught your attention. As far as the song and the girl. She may be a little better vocally than the crop of Pop tarts currently out there on your Pop Country radio, but once you put an assembly line dittie with it, she just like CU, TS, HP, JH. Just another blonde. I mean, lets face it, she’s no Amanda Graves, Holly Williams, or Danielle Talamini.

I’m not sure she’ll ever be big in Country music but I do like that her voice is different and doesn’t sound nasally like a lot of the other blonde singers out today. At least the song isn’t a stupid teenage love song.

I do not want my children to see this video! Taking off her clothes, and swimming with a boy, and making out with him??? Since when has country been SELLING SEX.. NOT MUSIC??? I don’t know, but I’d say that when Conway Twitty and Loretta Lynn recorded a duet of “Slow Hand,” it was far more explicit than this tame Duncan video.
Lynn and Conway sang things like “I want somebody who will spend some time/Not come and go in a heated rush.” Nowhere does the Duncan video refer to the “ultimate conclusion” for the male of the sex act as “Slow Hand” so blatantly does.
“Skinny Dippin” is tame stuff: its not “Borderline Porn” as Cindy says, rather, its “G-rated”. If sex was as boring as the flirtation portrayed in “Skinny Dippin” people would lose interest fast.

What’s wrong with you people??!! This video is SOOO classy. Faith Hill & Shania Twain have taken videos much further than this! Not to mention, Kid Rock’s video to All Summer Long last year that showed women in thongs!! This video is cute, sexy, sweet, and has a bit of innocence to it. I think they did an AMAZING JOB with it! I love her voice and her music. This girl is so much better than 99.9% of the crap that’s out and should do well. People that don’t like this video is jealous. To say this video is disgusting is disgusting, and shows that you must not have eyes or ears.

This girl is truly amazing!! She is extraordinarily nice and talented. To show you how awesome she is, she was the ONLY ONE to stay at the City of Hope softball game and signed autographs for everyone. She is amazing to her fans and I saw her at the CMA festival and was blown away! One of the best voices I’ve ever heard! and great entertainer as well. And this video is definitely going in my top 3 along with Shania & Faith.

Actually, I believe Conway covered the Pointer Sisters Slow Hand as a solo, and not as a duet with Loretta. The solo version is the one that went to #1 on the Pop country charts back in ‘82 anyway.

Ok Guys Whitney Duncan is the most unique voice in Country today and if you dont like her music then o well just get over it and move on theres no need to trash talk the poor girl shes doing what she loves and yes she was on nashville star and just because she didnt win doesnt mean shes not gonna go anywhere she will be on the top of the charts!

I love this song and video. Whitney Duncan is so pretty and she has a great voice. I think that she is a good change in music for country. She doesn’t sound the same as all the other female country singers and I think that’s a good thing.
