Trace Adkins … Is … Luke McBain!!!

Posted: July 21st, 2009 at 9:55 am  |  By: Chris Parton

Trace Adkins as Luke McBain[In movie trailer announcer guy voice]: In a world ... where corruption and greed sour the land ... and innocent families are left to pay the price ... only one man has the backbone to stand for what's right. He did 14 years for a crime he didn't commit. Now it's time for payback. Trace Adkins ... is ... Luke McBain!!!

You know all of his songs. You loved him on Celebrity Apprentice. Now you can read along as he smashes bad guys and stands tall for all that's right in the world. Trace Adkins will soon become the first country artist ever to be a fictional character in a comic book series. And of course he's a total badass. It's called Luke McBain, and there will be four issues of Adkins' character taking back his hometown in Louisiana after returning from a prison sentence. The publishing company says Adkins worked very closely with developers, so McBain reflects a lot of the singer's philosophy. I imagine that includes being the strong silent type, blowing stuff up and eventually winning the hearts and minds of the people that once shunned him. It comes out in November wherever fine comic books are sold.

This is SOOOOOO EXCITING! The people who choose Trace Adkins to do this series of comic books are brilliant!
So happy for Trace that he is having the opportunity to show his versatility and talents at even another medium!
    GO TRACE GO!
By the way whoever is printing these comic books better consider doing twice as many as they think they should because there are a load of Trace Adkins fans out there right now and especially after saw him on the Donalds “Apprentice” show. He won over a lot of new fans. And it continues to escalate with every endeavor he conquers! Gotta love one real American man named, “Trace Adkins”! What a success story he is writing!

A comic book is very interesting, where did the idea come from?

Have you ever watched him sing? There’s the answer.

Outstanding! I can’t wait ’til these come out and will be first in line to purchase. Now, if my local radio station would just play the singles he releases (instead of one out of every 3 or 4), I’d be really happy. The man can flat sing, and his range is amazing.

This is really good. It’s a play off of Luke McCain, “The Rifleman” right? I wonder if he’ll carry a semi-automatic rifle (or guitar in his case) and be the righter of wrongs. I love Trace.

I love this new “side” of Trace’s talents. This looks like it is going to be lots of fun. I also haven’t ever bought a comic book but will definately be looking for these. This is a great way to broaden Trace’s fan base…look what Apprentice did for him. Good Luck Trace I hope they do make a movie out of Luke McBain. How about an action figure also.

    Excellent article! Very descriptive!

Trace Adkins will soon become the first country artist ever to be a fictional character in a comic book series!
There are 4 issues. one issue is released monthly.
I live in PA, cannot find the comic book anywhere. I will
be ordered issue 1 and 2 from traceadkins.com

Luke McBain was featured in USA today and Trace was once again a guest on the Craig Ferguson late night show, and
both Craig and Trace gave an excellent promo!
