I'm Going to Live Stream Brad Paisley
That sounds kind of dirty, doesn't it? It's totally not. All it means is that tonight (July 21) at 7:25 p.m. ET, I will be in front of my computer watching Brad Paisley give a live performance at the White House. How cool is that?
I have been slowly but surely learning my way around the Internet. And I can handle all the basics, like downloads and uploads and even the occasional Web cam chat. But I'm kind of a live stream virgin. That has to change, though. More and more artists are doing things like this because they want to give their fans multiple ways to hear (and in this case, see) their music.
So when President Obama comes on to make a few opening remarks, and first lady Michelle Obama is watching with the White House staff and some members of Congress, we can be watching it all unfold in real time. (And if for some reason, you didn't want to watch it from the White House Web site, you can do it on Facebook. Not on your Facebook iPhone app, though. That doesn't seem to work.)
Alison Krauss & Union Station and Charley Pride are scheduled to perform first, then Paisley. It's part of the White House music series the Obamas created to celebrate the arts and the importance of arts education.
So while the daytime streams today featured things like a daily press briefing and President Obama speaking about health care reform, those didn't quite hold my attention like I know Paisley will. I have every hope it will be like a miniconcert right there on my lap. If you live stream the show with me, please report back here afterward and let me know what you thought.

This is how I listen to a large part of my music choices. Being a big fan of Alison, I tuned in on this as well.

Great concert and so cool that it was streamed live from the White House!
G McMIllan says:
Does anyone else in country sing besides Brad P? He is all we hear about!
Michele in Maine says:
One of the coolest parts about streaming the concert live was the comment box from other folks also listening to the stream. Comments were coming in a mile a minute from folks joining the concert not only all over the US, but also from other countries around the world. It was a real “event.”
Our president is so cool!

So sick of hearing about Brad, he is not the only one doing country music, he is not the greatest in fact I know many that find his voice weak, medicore and very little range. His songs can get boring cause all the ballads sound the same and novelity songs sound the same.
Question is if he is getting all these #1’s and radio airply, WHY can’t he sale the albums. HE DOESN’T SELL LIKE A SUPERSTAR. In eight albums he has ONLY ONE that has sold 3 million. His last studio only sold 1.2 million and he could only sell 130,000 the first week of his latests. THEM ARE NOT SUPERSTAR NUMBERS.
Redmaz says:
Superstar? Is being a superstar important to your listening habits? Is Being recognized in only 10% of today’s music scene really a superstar, or is it all about numbers that put a person in superstar status?

I watched the live stream last night, and it was great! i missed part of the beginning, including Obama’s opening remarks, but I definently saw Brad Paisley!! I love that guy and his music, and I really enjoyed hearing his comments before each song. Obama laughed at Brad’s funny remarks and nodded along with the more serious. My mom was wiping away tears behind me while Brad was performing “Welcome to the Future,” which was a totally fitting song for Brad to perform last night. I also loved how he invited the Obama family and everyone lucky enough to be in that room last night to his concert nearby this weekend! The duet was great and I love the song “Then” as well. I am very glad that I watched this last night!!

I’m so sad that I missed this! Is there a way I can catch the stream?

Have seen many of your comments on this CMT website and for someone who obviously is NOT a fan of BP, you have managed to do an awful lot of research on him….”secret fan” perhaps?!
