Dolly Parton Remembers Her Friend, Michael Jackson
Following Michael Jackson's death, Dolly Parton offered a video to her fans to express her thoughts on a friend who was "a true musical genius and a fantastic performer."

Thank you Dolly for saying what so many of us feel but cannot express. I am of your generation and have always had to stop whatever I was doing if a Michael Jackson video or story was on the tube, I didn’t own his cd’s or dvd’s till now, I have ordered them and they will be here soon. They are making a big deal out of the press he has received. What have the critics done as inspired as he has done, what has his critics done as unique as he has done, he was inspirational in his nature, but tortured in his life. May he rest in peace and thank you for saying so in this “redneck world”. You go girl!

Dolly is truly an Angel on this Earth. Her words ring true but it is the sincerity in her heart that comes shining through. Thank you, Dolly for saying what needed to be said. I am so sick and tired of the brutality of the media. Give the man some respect in death - Lord knows they didn’t give it to him while he was walking amongst us! Pray for him and his beautiful Children - they have to endure this life without their beloved father…I would not wish that on anyone. I am going through it right now with the loss of my dearest Husband and let me tell you, they are in for a very long and rough journey.
