Five Decades in Country, and Bill Anderson's Still Going Strong
The Tennessean is reporting that Bill Anderson has been at this country music thing for 52 years. How can that be? How can someone who's been around so long not rest on his laurels and sit around pining for the good ol' days when country was really country? Anderson co-wrote Sugarland's "Joey," George Strait's "Give It Away," Brad Paisley's "No," Paisley's hit with Alison Krauss "Whiskey Lullaby" and so many more huge hits. The article doesn't answer my question, so I can only guess that the secret to Anderson's relevance and longevity is that he really, really loves country music. And lucky for us, like the story says, his hit songwriter's pen shows no sign of drying up.

Annie says:
Bill Anderson is simply a genious at writing songs. Period!

Remarkable talent, and an even more remarkable man.
Redmaz says:
I can appreciate Anderson’s songwriting, but not his singing(whispering). Didn’t really care for anything he released, but a couple of my favorites written by him are City Lights, and Walk out Backwards, but he’s had his share of cheese too. Anyone remember his attempt at Country Disco with a little tune called “Double S”? whoa…..easy Billy boy.

I grew up in radio, have a knack myself for songwriting, have a possible country song for someone, just needs some help, how do you submit lyrics to someone?
