Luke Bryan Shows a Softer, Sexier Side in "Do I"

Posted: July 7th, 2009 at 4:20 pm  |  By: Whitney Self

The somber opening scene of Luke Bryan's "Do I" sets the stage for this video. The drama increases as you see a woman inconsolably saying, "I can't do this." Instead of his usual funny and playful self, Bryan takes on a role that's tender and sensitive. He's quite believable as he sings of a relationship at a crossroads: "I could lean into hold you or act like I don't know you. Seems like you could care less either way." I enjoyed seeing this raw side of Bryan -- a side he wears quite well in his green button-up shirt. But be careful not to confuse Bryan and the other man. If you don't look closely, you may miss the whole plot.

I love this video. Luke did a great job at bringing the song to life. I agree that it was nice to see the emotional/softer side of Luke. I hope this brings hims a #1, he deserves it!!! I love him

Well, let me see. As a man who has lived many years and married for a long time, I can look back in the hallways of my life and reflect just what the song is saying. Oh, no one said that this life was always going to be a joy ride. You know sometimes one has to have some rain in order for sunshine to appear…how true especially with a relationship. Luke’s voice is so strong on the chorus which helps him bring the song around. Love the song, video and more importantly the message. Those of us who have our ‘rose colored glasses’ on, sometimes find that they too can tarnish and have to be polished once in a while. Awesome blog Whitney
