Top 10 Tracks I'm Digging Right Now

Posted: June 29th, 2009 at 10:01 am  |  By: Alison Bonaguro

Tim McGrawI saw Night Ranger this weekend. Yes, the rock band from the '80s best known for hits like "Sister Christian" and "Don't Tell Me You Love Me." And after their 90-minute concert (actually concert is probably the wrong word because they were just playing a little festival in a little suburb), I found myself craving anything but rock. Anything with a lot of twang, steel, fiddle, banjo and a redneck theme. Again, anything but rock. So I've been quenching that thirst for country with songs like these:

"Give It to Me Strait," Tim McGraw
"Very Last Country Song," Sugarland
"Tackle Box," Luke Bryan
"Coalmine," Sara Evans
"Catch All the Fish," Brad Paisley
"Good People," Jeff Bates
"Every Light in the House Is On," Trace Adkins
"Prayin' for Daylight," Rascal Flatts
"Paint Me a Birmingham," Tracy Lawrence
"Dig Two Graves," Randy Travis

I still can’t get all the way through “Very Last Country Song” without choking up. Something about someone sitting alone in their kitchen, going through old photographs, on their birthday just kills me. It’ll be a shame if this song doesn’t get released as a single.

I love “Every Last Country Song”. Jennifer’s vocals on this track just give me goose bumps. It makes me think about life too! I wish they would release this as a single. It would be amazing! Its so well written! Amazing one of their best songs yet! Its so pure and just amazing! Love it

How anyone can have tim mcgraw on any kind of track is beyond me. It’s just like having a girl crush on Taylor Swift. It’s just wrong.

HA! Sugarland, Rascal Flatts and Tim McGraw are all about as country as a shopping mall and they have about as much soul as a 1999 Dodge Caravan.

    Try my list instead.

    Stoney LaRue - Downtown
Jason Boland & the Stragglers - Shot Full of Holes
Reckless Kelly - Crazy Eddie’s Last Hurrah

Love Tim’s song Give It To me Strait, I remember the three years Tim opened for George on his Festival tour, he would sing that as one of his last songs right before George can on stage.

Wanna hear some awesome country songs listen to tim’s Whiskey and You are Shotgun Rider.
