Pale Is the New Tan for Miranda Lambert

Posted: June 23rd, 2009 at 5:33 pm  |  By: Alison Bonaguro

Miranda LambertI'm ashamed to say it's taken me a few trips to the surgeon's office to realize that sunscreen should be a girl's best friend. After about 10 summers with baby oil on my face and a record album covered in foil to make the sun even more damaging, I've had three bouts of skin cancer. And I have the scars to prove it. So I am so happy to hear that Miranda Lambert is smart enough to keep SPF 85 on her face. With all those summer shows she does out in the scalding hot sun, that makes a lot of sense. She says she got the advice from porcelain-skinned beauty Nicole Kidman. Maybe Lambert will take the advice one step further and start selling sun block at her merchandise table. I've always felt like her music keeps me young, so I'm not about to let the sun age me anymore.

I use to be a sun worshipper and now my skin is paying for it!! Young girls…do it now and take Miranda’s advice…coat on that sunscreen and I mean a very high SPF!! A tan is not the most important thing in life!

Girls use sun screen. Use a little thing called self tanners.

I’ve used sunscreen on my face for the last 35-40 years and have to say that now that I’m in my mid 50’s, I don’t have a wrinkle on my face.

Anyone know a good self tanner to use that doesn’t streek, come off, and that works great overnight.

I hope to see tans go out of fashion. A stupid idea of what’s beautiful.

I cant dispute that the sun is harmful to the skin, but I dont think anybody needs to be as white as Nicole Kidman…she is too pale, she looks sick.

I’m as pale as Nicole but it’s not by choice … it’s the skin that God gave me. It’s taken me over 50 years but I’ve finally accepted that I’ll never have a tan, unless it’s a spray-on tan.

S what kind of spray-on tan do you use.

I haven’t used one. I’m just saying that it’s the only way I would ever have a tan. I wish I was rich like celebrities who go weekly for their professional spray-on tan. I’m sure it costs big bucks which I don’t have.

Lol I don’t have that kind of money either. I buy the cheap spray on stuff, that realy don’t work.
