Dierks Bentley: Almost a Household Name
If you ask Forbes, Dierks Bentley is on the verge of greatness. In a story about celebs about to go from cult hero to household name, they put Bentley up on top. And that's not just their own humble opinion. They have real data to support their findings. They found out who had high scores with audiences in likability but not such high scores for awareness. So they call Bentley "a hit with those fans who have discovered him but not yet a breakout act -- witness his 14 percent public awareness ratings." Fourteen percent? After being at countless sold-out Bentley concerts, I don't know where on earth they got that number. But I do agree that he is about one tour away from jumping to the other side. All we have to do is get the other 86 percent of Americans to hear him play, and they'll be fans of his likability and his music.

His last album debuted at #1 on the country chart and #3 on the all genre chart. Sounds like he’s selling albums pretty well to me. And I think he measures his success of an album on quality, not quantity (like a lot of others in Nashville these days).
