Wearing Trace Adkins' Lyrics
As I blogged before, my son was away at a little summer camp last week. And the camp's motto is: I'm Third. As in, God's first, other people are second and I'm third. I wanted a T-shirt with that sentiment on it, but I think if I could convince Trace Adkins to put his new lyrics on a shirt, it might be just as good. Maybe better. In his new single, "All I Ask for Anymore," he sings in the chorus, "When I bow my head tonight/There'll be no me, myself and I." Wouldn't that selfless line make the best T-shirt? One that really makes people stop and think? I don't think it would quite go with my "Hillbilly Rich" ball cap, but it would still be a really nice T-shirt. What other thought-provoking lyrics would you like to wear?

Cathy says:
Wasn’t “I Am Third” the Gale Sayers book title that inspired that classic tearjerker of a TV movie, “Brian’s Song”? Anyone remember that?
Joanne says:
How about “Marry for Money?” I want it for the upcoming Trace concert in July in Big Flats NY.
Laura says:
My t-shirt would read “Heartbroke, Lonesome, and Blue” from Rodney Hayden’s latest CD. But I’ve always wanted one that said “Get On Your Mule and Ride” my favorite song from one of Rodney’s previous CDs.
Lori says:
Currently, I would choose “I’m moving to the rhythm of a beating braver heart” which comes from Keith Urban’s “If Ever I Could Love.”
hutsonville says:
Rodney Hayden sings a song called Lonely Day and in the chorus there’s a lyric I’d love to have on a shirt that goes “if love were easy everybody’d be in it”
will says:
I’d like to see “God is Great, Beer is Good and people are crazy” by Billy Currington on a shirt. This song proves that we all screw up and fall short of God’s glory (people are crazy) but that doesn’t mean he loves us any less. “God is great” and he will bless us as long as we are living for Him. A blessing as in a fortune left to some guy he barely knew. Oh, and of course, “beer is good”.
