Alan Jackson Considers Selling Sweetbriar Estate
Chances are, if a house has a name, I can't afford it. But that doesn't mean I won't pay super-close attention to the sale. Such is the case with Alan Jackson's Franklin, Tenn., estate, Sweetbriar, which he is planning to sell sometime down the road. According to Nashville Scene's big ol' story on the big ol' country superstar, the Jackson family wants to downsize. Out with the "air-conditioned gym, the horse stalls, the 30-car garage, the log cabin, the 10-acre lake and the airplane landing strip." Jackson tells the weekly newspaper that his girls don't really use the property much anymore. The rest of the story is good, too, but I just can't seem to get past the 30-car garage thing.

Well this is way out of my price range Alison.. LOL
I will keep looking. A 30 car garage? I couldn’t even name 30 cars I like!

The article referred to here is actually an excellent and lengthy feature on Jackson.

i only wish i had a junk of land like that. thats amazing, but i guess when you are a country music GIANT, YOUR OPTIONS ARE ENDLESS

What’s Alan going to do with all of his collectable classic cars he owns. He better not get rid of his T-Bird that Denise tracked down and bought back as a Christmas gift years ago. It’ll probably take 2-5 years to find a buyer or buyers

I was very fortunate to see your home last year from {a distant very far away }while on a bus tour when we were in Nashville last year. I would give anything to see your house. But I know you hear that every day.You and your family are very blessed. BUT if you ever move, please, please, please, let me be the very first in line for the give away stuff. Even the rummage sale if you have one. But I know I could never afford it. God bless you and Denise and the kids .

About your house, please, pretty please, with a cherry on top , let me know if your going to have a give away stuff sale {HA}. I know I could never afford your good stuff. I read in the paper this morning that you were going to be at Lake Martin soon. I don’t have a boat, but even if I did ,I don’t think I could tackle that crowd. I live real close to Lake Martin. Then about five minute I heard you where going to be in Birmington. Have a fantanstic concern. WISH I could be there.

Car Fanatic says:
I’ve seen pictures of the house. It is TRULY beautiful, not what I expected, no offense AJ! And it is ONLY a 20 car garage, not 30. I’d have to leave a few out in the rain! They left out the boathouse.

WOW! What a wonderful piece of real estate! Been reading alot of the posts here and normally would not comment but thought I would chime in this one time. I was VERY lucky to acquire some Alan Jackson Memorobilia this year and purchased his 1989 Honda Pilot FL400R Dune Buggy! I bought it off a popular internet site just wanting a good condition Pilot(these are rare and highly sought after on their own) and had NO idea of it’s past. The guy I purchased it off of told me it was a special Pilot but too be completely honest with ya I thought he was just blowin smoke, after all he WAS trying to sell me something lol! Well long story short I had it shipped here(i’m in Md. and the Pilot was in TN) and was going through the paper work and there in the bottom of the manilla envelope was the original TN Title with Alan Jacksons full address and John Hancock along with some other documentation! I was SPEACHLESS! Turns out the guy was absolutely telling the truth! I could not believe it especially being an Alan Jackson fan myself! I called everyone I knew and even took it to the job for the first week just cause not one person believed me lol! I have done some extensive searching on the internet and so the story goes Alan Jackson has 3 daughters that all loved to drive, be it a car, atv, jeep whatever and now my daughter, who is 11, asks me everyday to ride the Pilot and I can’t help but think of the DRIVE Video! She gets a HUGE kick out of telling all her friends about her dune buggy and realizing Alan Jackson and his daughters sat in the very same seat doing just what she’s doing! Guess I should email him and tell him how proud I am to watch her and how happy she is behind the controls but he probably already knows just what i’m talking about! Kinda crazy but some of those same people that laughed when I told them about it for the first time have tried to buy it(had an offer for $25,000.00). Some may say i’m crazy for not taking it(these sell between $10-14K in this condition) but the look of true happiness that’s on my daughters face when she straps herself in and puts on her helmet is something i’ll never forget and you just can’t put a price on that! So there it is, my 15 minutes of fame and the ONE time i’ve gotten lucky lol! Now all I have to do is win the lottery and i’ll have the whole Alan Jackson Collection! Then again if I had the $38 million i’d probably just get him to play for me live at my house every weekend til I die lol!

Just got back from a trip to Nashville. Got to see this property (from behind locked gates of course). It is amazing - not just the house - I think its bigger than the White House, but the property itself is stunning! Heard he just sold it.
