Want to See Alan Jackson? Get in Line

Posted: June 4th, 2009 at 1:27 pm  |  By: Alison Bonaguro

Alan JacksonExactly one week from right this minute, I suspect there will be a line wrapped around 305 Broadway in Nashville. Because Alan Jackson's playing the Cadillac Ranch, and the only way to get in is to get a wristband. And the only way to get a wristband is to wait in line. Best of all, this concert is free. His show doesn't start until 8 that night (June 10), but if I wanted one of those coveted wristbands, I'd plan to make a day of it. Pack a couple of Goo-Goo Clusters, some sunscreen and a good book. The Ranch only holds about 1,000 people, so you need to get in line early. But don't even think about trying to talk your way into the line or taking cuts. Alan Jackson fans are a hardcore group, so you'd better play by the rules. Wristband distribution starts at 4:30 p.m., and doors open at 6:30 p.m.

To make it fair they should give out tickets that are numbered then draw them like a lottery. That way everyone will have the same chance instead who stands in line the longest.

I think it is absolutely fair if you hang in there and wait in line all day you should get a wrist band. It will be a site to see!

Tell that to the person who is the 1001 in line. I’m sure some of his fans have to work and can’t spend all day in line that would give them the chance to see him too.

I would stand in line to see Alan no matter how long it took.
