Who Will Take Home the Coveted Belt Buckles?
CMT has revealed this year's final nominees for the 2009 CMT Music Awards, the only fan-voted awards show in country music. And being a video music awards show, one of the most exciting moments of the night, other than the live performances, is always the video of the year winner announcement. Last year, Taylor Swift took home the belt buckle trophy for "Our Song" and she's up again this year for her musical fairy tale, "Love Story." However, her stiff competition includes Trace Adkins' "You're Gonna Miss This," Carrie Underwood's "Just a Dream," Brad Paisley's "Waitin' on a Woman," Sugarland's "All I Want to Do," Toby Keith's "God Love Her," Kid Rock's "All Summer Long," Rascal Flatts' "Every Day," Lady Antebellum's "Lookin' for a Good Time" and Kenny Chesney featuring the Wailers in "Everybody Wants to Go to Heaven." The final four nominees will be announced during the awards show on June 16. I'm curious. As CMT.com readers, what are your picks?

It’s been one day and I’m already tired of people complaining about Carrie getting robbed of a nomination and how the awards are rigged. I have to listen to this crap from them for another month.

Carrie fans need to get a grip. She didn’t make it to the final four, accept it and get over it! I’ve only been on here for about 30 minutes today, and they have said all of the following:
1) CMT rigs the awards so that Taylor will win.
2) CMT is in love with Taylor and hates Carrie.
3) Taylor’s dad owns CMT, that is why Carrie didn’t make it.
4) Kellie and Taylor fans worked together to keep Carrie out.
5) CMT miscounted the votes, it can’t possibly be right.
6) Taylor can’t sing, therefore shouldn’t be nominated.
This all just in a day, folks. And these fans really wonder why a lot of people outside of her main fanbase are getting sick of her? They are the reason why.

Hey I like Kellie, Carrie, and Miranda even TS has a couple of good songs, but if you were on yes websited under Kellie Pickler, her fans right after the anouncments were saying “YES WE DID IT CARRIE DIDN’T GET IN”, so can you please explain how they were not working to make it so Carrie didn’t get nominated, please do. JUST A DREAM deserves much MORE!!!! I am sorry but I am a country music fan and have watched all videos. ?This song and video has helped alot of families and speaks to the heart… something that Country Music is suppose to do! I think a lot of people vote for their celebritie and who they are a fan of and they often forget to look at quality material, which can be a shame at times. Like Leslie Ponder (Spelling could be wrong)said on the CMA Music “Just A Dream” helps her and so many other women who listen to music for healing. Just A Dream has represented what Country Music is about - power of healing and comfort. Please don’t forget that!!! My vote is for “Just A Dream”. You don’t have to vote that way, but please do NOT forget to look at the quality of these videos when you do vote!

I did not forget to look at the quality…Just a Dream is a great song, but the video was a big let down. The special effects looked cheap and I just felt like they could have done a lot more. I also felt that they could have used more emotion in the videos. The tears helped, but the video overall just didn’t help me feel the emotion in the song as much as I would have hoped.
