As Seen on TV: Country Music Explosion
If you stumble upon country star John Michael Montgomery in a new infomercial, don't assume he's after Billy Mays' job. He is selling something much better than OxiClean and Mighty Putty. Montgomery is the new pitchman for Time Life's Country Music Explosion. This boxed set of CDs has 160 songs from household names like Kenny Chesney, Carrie Underwood, Sugarland, Brad Paisley, George Strait, Alan Jackson, Brooks & Dunn, Craig Morgan, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill. Then there's Montgomery's own biggies, like "I Can Love You Like That", "I Swear" and "I Love the Way You Love Me." I can't find the price tag for this Explosion on the Time Life Web site yet, but whatever it costs, getting 160 hit country songs has to be worth it.

I rather have a box set of singers who aren’t household names. The music would suit me better cause it wouldn’t marketed to the masses

Glad to see John Michael back again. God Bless him, he had a very rough road there for a while but is back better than ever. May the beautiful (and sometimes funny…ie make love without my shirt on) music he makes be included in many upcoming collections of great country music.

Its a bit sad to see a former star reduced to this sort of thing but its to be expected. Stars fall quite hard.

I really enjoy the selected artists. The only problem I have with this is there is no Shania Twain great on the eyes and ears, she should be on this collection without a question.
