"Her Beautiful Ideas" Caught Me by Surprise
Back in March, two of my friends were playing at the same club, and in between their sets I decided to hang around and check out a band called the Guggenheim Grotto. The Dublin, Ireland, duo had wrapped up a SXSW gig the week before and booked a few additional gigs while they were in the U.S. Essentially they're offering earnest pop songs about how things don't always turn out they way you'd expect. Impressed with their melodies, which falls somewhere between folk and electronica, I bought the CD after the show and I've been playing it for about six weeks solid. Now I am hooked on "Her Beautiful Ideas," about a guy who can't seem to get out of bed, mostly because he's reminiscing about a long-gone girlfriend who always enticed him with this morsel: "Let's get naked and get under the sheets." If you're looking for something a little different, here's the video.

What does this have to do with Country music… Isn’t there anyone in country music that you can blog about? Please keep it to country or don’t bother blogging…
Dana says:
Wow Amy, a bit cranky?
