Dierks Bentley Gets Driving (and Slang) Lessons
And you thought Dierks Bentley was just down under to play his music. No, no, no. When in Australia, he was determined to be like an Australian. But you can see from this five-minute video on his Web site that he hasn't quite perfected the driving thing yet. The steering wheel's on the other side of the car, you drive on the other side of the road, the taxis look like cop cars, it's rush hour and all Bentley can say is, "This is so wrong." But he does get his Aussie slang on, with the help of his passenger, who informs him that nobody ever really says, "Shrimp on the barbie." Bentley performs in Brisbane Friday and Saturday (May 8-9) before coming back to the U.S. and his '94 Chevy pickup where the steering is where it oughta be -- on the left.

That’s why the conjoined twins went to Australia for vacation. So the other one could drive for a while:) So you see…sometimes it works out for the best. “Shrimp on the Barbie”? Wouldn’t that be Chesney “hooking up” with Underwood?

The video of Dierks driving in Australia is sooooooooo funny, and typical Dierks–having fun, being dorky, being a regular dude! We love ya, Dierks!

Well we all think that it is the Americans that have the steering wheel on the wrong side of the car!!!
Would love to let Dierks drive my ute out in the country… The driving is much better when you get out of the city!
