Could Country Artists Be Their Own iPhone App?
For anyone who has an iPhone, you know what all the fuss is about. You know that it really all comes down to the apps. (For those of you who don't, those are the applications you can buy through Apple that make the phone into so much more than just a phone. Like a radio station, a harmonica, a song finder, a recorder, a lighter, a hunting rifle, a Kindle and so much more.) And yesterday, I found an app that I think would be so perfect for a country star. Comedian Dane Cook is his own app. When you download him/it, you can instantly get videos, downloads, tour dates and bits of semi-exclusive news. It's a little like having a celeb's Web site and fan cub and iTunes all right there at your fingertips. So c'mon, country. Give us your apps.
