Sugarland Sidelined, but the Keith Urban Show Must Go On

Damn those voice doctors. They just put Jennifer Nettles on vocal rest. Which means, sadly, that Sugarland cannot give Keith Urban's Escape Together World Tour the kickoff it deserves tonight in Connecticut. Bummer for Nettles, bummer for Urban, and bummer for all the fans who were going to the show to get a double dose of good country music. The silver lining in this little musical cloud is that Jason Aldean and Little Big Town were able to make room in their schedules at the last minute -- Thursday (May 7) and Friday night (May 8), respectively. No word yet on who will take that opening slot for Urban's show in Pennsylvania on May 9, though. Let's just all wish Nettles a speedy recovery so Sugarland can get back out on the road. Voice troubles also forced Sugarland to cancel appearances during a visit to Europe in March.

Jennifer..take care of the pipes…People dont realize how much these artists use their vocal chords and the damage that can happen with constant extreme use. Leann Rimes has had alot of trouble…Take care and get well soon and listen to those darned doctors

Carrie Rodriguez? I not sure if she would or not. It’s really not her type of crowd, but she might. As far as The Sugarland Band….I check out their music, and I agree, that lead singer’s voice needs a rest. A long rest. Most annoying.

I guess they could be talking about Rodriquez, but Carrie Hassler came to my mind first. Since Urban has played with Rhonda Vincent in the past, I would think he would appreciate a good Bluegrasser to help kick things off.

I’m bummed! Get well Jen! He should call Carrie Underwood. She’s opened for him before. However, Little Big Town is opening for Keith on Friday! They are a lot of fun too!!!

get well Jennifer……this is the second time we tried to see you here in Pa and it got cancelled…last year at Bloomsburg fair we had tickets too…..sigh….but you got to take care of those awesome pipes!!!!
