A To-Do List for Taylor Swift Fans
I always seem to have a to-do list a country mile long. But at 13? At 13, my list was more likely made up of little things: homework, orthodontist and babysitting. But this new book by mother-daughter team Brittany and Terri MacLeod literally has 113 things to add to that list. It's a tween guide to being in that zone where you're not a little kid anymore but still not quite a teenager. Best of all, 113 Things to Do by 13 includes tips from Taylor Swift. You have to get the book before you can find out what Swift suggests (write a song?), but I'm sure there are plenty of girls who will cling to whatever advice she has to give. The younger author's objective was to "make it a total girl power guide and also remind tweens to have fun and don't stress about all the crazy stuff happening in our lives -- like crushin' on boys or mean girls in school or just that our parents understand nothing about us." Unless, of course, stressing about that crazy stuff turns into good country music.

All I’m going to say is Taylor is an amazing artist whom I respect as such and is multi-talented with an angelic voice but then again I’m open minded and know that a person can love more than one artist and also smart enough to know not to open a blog if it did have someones name on it I didn’t want to hear about!

goldie, but Carrie doesn’t go out “pretending” to be a singer when she’s not. That’s what Taylor is doing, and exactly why I have no respect for her as an artist. A true artist could clearly hear that she can’t hold a candle to most if not all of the ladies of Nashville, and yet continues to promote herself as a singer. Sad, just evidence of ego.

Taylor is phenominal at marketing. That is why she has such a large fanbase. Her fans are convinced that she can do no wrong. Of course they’ve heard the same travesties we have on the award shows and they know that Taylor can’t carry a tune in a bucket. Taylor’s genius is taking a mediocre product and convincing the masses that it is great. Same thing a telemarketer does…or the shamwow guy. It’s all about marketing. Tay fans do know that she can’t sing, but they refuse to admit that they have been victimized of this marketing ploy.
