Trisha Yearwood Is Building Up a Good Cause
Wait a minute. Isn't Trisha Yearwood supposed to have her hair tied up in ribbons and bows? I guess not. Now she's putting on a big ugly hard hat -- for a very good cause. She's part of the Women Build program that Habitat for Humanity is doing. There are about 200 construction sites across the country, and since this week is Women Build week, they asked Yearwood to help launch it. They expect some 7,000 women to join together, build simple affordable homes and, ultimately, eliminate poverty housing. "After four or five builds, I've learned that a nail gun is really a construction diva's best tool. So I will NOT go on a construction site without a nail gun at this point. I'm definitely a nail gun diva," Yearwood said. And she thinks the tool belts are cute, too.

Good for Trisha Yearwood for being part of something as rewarding as the Women Build program that Habitat for Humanity is doing. It’s great to see celebrities reaching out and helping worthy causes.

Having done several builds, I agree. Nail guns are a woman’s best friend, especialy for THIS woman, who grew up swinging a beautifully balanced steel shanked 14 oz claw hammer, but now due to Lupus and arthritis, prefers the nail gun. Sixteen on center, ladies, the only way to go to give a hand up!

I think Yearwood would make a good brick house.
