CMT Music Pass Sent Me to See Taylor Swift
My husband and I won tickets to the Grand Ole Opry through CMT Music Pass, and the concert was amazing! We felt like children again standing at the stage with all of the kids there to see Taylor Swift. She is so beautiful and charming. We also got to see Keith Anderson, Little Jimmy Dickens (he was so funny telling jokes on stage), Riders in the Sky, Gloriana, Jimmy Wayne, Jean Shepard and, of course, Trace Adkins!! (My family was so jealous!) Each artist got to sing around three songs. They were all so entertaining and interactive with the crowd, and it was very exciting to get to take so many pictures of them. My husband and I want to thank CMT.com and everyone who made this possible for us. See Taylor Swift's upcoming tour dates.

I have to agree with the beautiful - Taylor is on Peoples’ most beautiful list again this year..Most defiantly charming, Taylor has always drawn fans to concerts.
With the Fearless tour now a sellout - she will be selling more cd’s with her next release.
Not everyone gets an Opry invite - Taylor was invited and the Opry really likes her. I think this was at least her second appearance, maybe her third.

I was at the Opry that night. I thought all the performers were amazing, and if you don’t think Taylor belongs on the Opry, you have lost your mind. She has brought so many new listeners to country music. It was a sold out crowd and I was so please to see so many young people enjoying not only Taylor Swift, but pioneers like Little Jimmy Dickens. It would not suprise me in the least if she were inducted the next time she comes back.

I listened to the show online and thought I tuned in mainly to hear Jimmy Wayne, Keith Anderson,& Trace I loved every minute of it. I’m a 36 yr old who grew up on country music — traditional and non-traditional. No, Taylor isn’t traditional country, but there’s no denying the girl’s got TALENT! More talent, in my opnion, than Carrie Underwood. I’m not knocking Carrie, but I think as far as songwriting and even live, Taylor’s got her beat.

I don’t know if it’s more talent overall than Carrie, but there’s no question when it comes to songwriting, that Taylor is miles ahead of Carrie.
And I truly like them both.
Carrie has a great voice, but often trends toward the theatrical. I think that’s to cover up for the fact that she is being forced to sing some songs that she just doesn’t genuinely feel.
It’s hard to hide that, even with Carrie’s well-trained and naturally beautiful voice, and all the money that Sony is throwing into her productions.
With Taylor, she writes or co-writes everything, so there’s no issue with genuine emotion. And I think that honesty comes through on every song.

Taylor is a very talented and smart young woman. At 20 years old, she has accompliehed quite a bit in the business.
I’m 49 years old country music fan and took my friend’s children to the opening night of the “Fearless” tour. I liked the fact that she is a good role model for young girls, unlike some “stars” we see in the news.
I expected a cute little concert for young girls.
WOW, was I pleasantly surprised!! It was an awesome concert that I would recommend for anyone.
And Taylor’s voice was excellent. I noticed that right away. If she continues to improve with age, this young lady will definitely be a constant in country music for many years.
And I would love to see her at the Opry.

have you lost your mind brandi.. i didnt want a taylor v carrie thing… but live taylor can not sing. has no range, no emotion, no stage presence aside from the shaking hair and wiggling hip thing she does to cover her lack of stage presence.
oh yes… and props like castles and ponies!! so country. you call carrie theatrical? wow, at least she doesnt resort to that.
I have seen Carrie in concert and the only prop she has is her voice , personality, and stage presence.

I don’t know how you can say Taylor has no emotion and no stage presence, Lara. She doesn’t just stand there and sing, blank faced. She runs around, interacts with the crowd, and she fully commits herself to every song she performs. If it’s a sad song, she’s sad. If it’s an angry song, she is beyond angry. If it’s a happy song, you can see the happiness radiating from her. THAT shows emotion.
