Joey & Rory Raid Their Closet for New Video
Joey & Rory are sheepish to admit it, but all the costumes for their new video, "Play the Song," come from their own closet. Rory Lee Feek first wore his white frilly shirt in a ninth grade talent show while Joey Martin Feek dusted off a few prom dresses, including a pink one made by her mother. Rory related, "The idea was that we were gonna dress up and look ridiculous, like they were trying to change us, and I said, 'Joey, we gotta do this and really go over-the-top and look ridiculous.' So I dressed up and I looked ridiculous every time. She dressed up and she looks hot every time."
"No, I didn't," said Joey, who insisted that "the leather thing" was a little tight and uncomfortable.
"Oh, I want to keep that one," Rory said, to which his wife replied, "You don't get to keep that one." (They go back and forth like this a lot. It is very cute.) All in all, Rory sums it up this way: "I think the fun thing is, just like in real life at the end of the day, that's why we dress like we do. That's what we're most comfortable in. It looks like us."

I love Joey + Rory, I love their album, I love this song, and I love this video! I even got to see them perform live two nights ago out here in Los Angeles and their live acoustic show was brilliant. Sadly I don’t think Top 40 pop-rock mainstream country radio stations feel the same way I do about these two. It will be a miracle if this song breaks the Top 30 on radio, but that’s one miracle worth hoping for…
Courtney says:
I agree RRick, these two are great! Their album is amazing and worth every penny I spent on it. I love how they stick to a more traditional sound. I hope great things come their way because they sure deserve it.
Karin says:
This was a great song the first time that I heard it and I really like it. Not the same old sceaming stuff or singing through their noses. I do hope to hear more from you on the radio and more videos. I will be checking out your album.

I have had the pleasure of meeting Rory at Marcy Jo’s Mealhouse. He was such a great guy who showed a genuine interest in talking to me. I love these two so much and I’m glad they are doing so well. They make an Iowa country girl at heart smile everytime I play the CD. Can’t wait to hear lots more from them.
Rita says:
Loved the video and I thought they were the best thing out of a tv reality show in a long time. Looking forward to hearing more from them.

I finally got to watch the video. I never cared for this song much, but it does make for a cute video. You gotta love them as people. I wish their album was stronger …
