Reba McEntire Has a "Strange" Night Hosting ACMs
Reba McEntire had a busy night at the ACM Awards on Sunday (April 5). Hosting the show in Las Vegas for the 11th time, she started off the show with a few zingers -- somehow finding a way to make Michael Phelps' legal troubles relevant to a country music audience. "Seems like everyone wants to cut a country album nowadays. Even Michael Phelps and Willie Nelson are teaming up to do an album. They're covering the Doobie Brothers!" Ouch! But between telling jokes and introducing artists and presenters, she somehow found time to debut her new single, "Strange." The tune takes aim at a bad breakup, but this breakup doesn't feel like the rest. McEntire's voice is as powerful and distinctive as ever on this one, and the rock 'n' roll feel is hard to miss.

I loved Reba, but what was up with Jamie Fox? It’s like he came on stage just to insult the audience and rub Obama in everyone’s noses (and right before the legend George Strait!). It was nothing but spite. Don’t give me the freedom of speech as no professional goes on stage to insult the audience. Yes I’m there were some Obama supporters there as a few clapped, but it would be like Dennis Miller going on stage at some BET awards and congratulating W on winning the 2004 election.
How about if next year the ACM has Al Sharpton or Jesse Jackson come on the stage! Who’s idea was it to put Jamie Fox on? It had to be a setup and I am disappointed… CBS perhaps? Just low class…

was the awards fixed? i went to cbs to vote and when i voted they replied that i had already voted. what up? i disagree with using the computer to vote because of the age difference with fan of george strait, who may not be as computer knowhow as the younger generation.

Reba looked beautiful and her performance was AWESOME. To answer someone else’s question, “Strange” will be on a new album (no title yet) that Reba will have out in August.

They should have voting at all internet or other wise, The ACM’s are just not the same since the fans vote..It’s like the CMT awards…If I were a performer I would rather have an award voting on by my peers .. Fans show their support of a artist by buying CD’s Downloads buying concert tickets

What’s up with Reba’a arms?..they looked very odd sticking out to her sides ina very muscular way. Almost looked like she was flexing them in some muscle pose. You can see it in a lot of the red carpet and other pics.
