A Different Spin on "I Hope You Dance"

Posted: April 3rd, 2009 at 9:46 am  |  By: Craig Shelburne

While I was browsing the list of songwriters appearing at Tin Pan South this week, I noticed in Tia Sellers' bio that "I Hope You Dance" found a second life in England a few years ago. Over there, it was sung by a guy, Ronan Keating, one of the most successful pop stars in that country. The video is a little bit schmaltzy, with the bundled-up singer belting out in a forest amid frolicking children, but I'm sure some people don't mind the sentiment. In case you haven't heard the song waaay too many times already, check out this version.

Hi. Would you please correct the spelling of my last name mentioned in the article above. IT is causing great confusion as to the correct spelling of my names and is actually affecting my collections of royalties.

    Thank you –
    Tia SILLERS
