I Think I Know What Lee Ann Womack Knows

Lee Ann WomackDepending on who you ask, there are a handful of different stories about the deaths of a few country legends. The mysterious ones, anyway. So that's why Lee Ann Womack's song, "I Think I Know," is so telling. She says she thinks she knows what killed Keith Whitley, and it wasn't just the whiskey. Same thing with Hank Williams, that there was an emptiness that filled him. And as for ol' Johnny, she does not think it was his tired body. So while the specific causes of death vary for each artist, Womack's tune points to the other contributing factors in the lives of country's greats. It's a sad song, but it's my favorite on this album. Especially when her soaring voice gets to the part about "the feeling something's missing grabs your heart and won't go away." I love that part. That ... and all the mandolin.

She is the best! Totally ROBBED of that Grammy award! Shame on the voters for going with the hype of a groupie favorite!

I felt she deserved the Grammy too. Never understand their voting. Love LeeAnn and her music. Great CD and an awesome voice.

I bought this CD because I just love her new song, Last Call, but right away after listening to the whole CD, I know it is just a matter of time that the radio will be playing this song and it will be a number one hit. It is the song that I play over and over off of that CD. Thank you Lee Ann, nobody can touch you girl.
