Freebie Shows During Fan Fair
To me, the words "free" and "concert" are rarely even used in the same sentence. At least not in a good way. Because either it's free because nobody would pay for it if they did charge for tickets. Or, it's such a coup, I picture long, long lines of pushy people strategizing on how they are going to shove their way up front. But now that the CMA Music Festival has announced that some shows at Riverfront Park and the Nashville courthouse will be open to the public -- and free -- I'm starting to rethink my negativity. So even if you don't have tickets to the big shows during the June 11-14 twangapalooza, you can still listen to the music. They haven't said yet who will be performing at these free shows. But if it's country, it has to be good.
