Julianne Hough Has Wardrobe Malfunction on Dancing With the Stars
Editor's note: This is the second video blog from Julianne Hough as she competes on Dancing with the Stars with boyfriend and fellow singer, Chuck Wicks. It seems that she had a bit of a mishap during a rehearsal for last night's (March 9) show. Get all the details and be sure to check back for more updates.

Thanks for the blogs!! :-) Hopefully Chuck will loosen up and relax a bit for the salsa next week and really have fun with it!! Great job last night — LOVED your choreography!!
((and you are right.. the judges were mean!!))
Rosa says:
I think you guys did good! I am rooting for you guys.
trina says:
i think julianne is beautifull she looks like a barbie doll…and her personality is the cutest, chuck wicks is so handsome he is such a hottie and he seems so nice…they make a beautifull couple…but chuck makes me forget my name…julianne is so lucky to have him…
i wish them them best hopefully their country fan base will be voting for them,to stay in this competition.
cj says:
You have always been my favorite on DWTS. This year it is a little harder because I like so many of the dancers. Although when it came time to vote I voted for you and Chuck. You have accomplished so much in your young years your parents must be very proud of you. You keep the songs coming I will keep buying them.
Marie C. says:
Julianne you are so great and so is Chuck the judges were mean but it is ok just keep up the good work and you’r good songs comeing out to all of us Chuck too.We will keep buying them and will vote for both. You guys are special keep up the good work
Amanda says:
Wow! That’s all I can say! You both are amazing dancers and Chuck is doing so great! Your dance was so good and I thought you both looked sooo cute! I also love your music….but how are doing that and dancing??? AMAZING! :)
By the way…we are the same age (julianne)..but how in the world did you get such a good older looking man?!
Continue the hard work and fabulous dancing!
Twangtown7 says:
I wanna see a tape of the “girls” popping out. :-)
I’ve met Julianne a few times, and she really is a sweetheart.
Judi says:
LOL I’m surprised there aren’t more wardrobe malfunctions on the show. The dress was gorgeous, Julianne. It looked almost identical to your waltz dress with Apolo in season 4.
Some of Bruno’s comments to the others were way too harsh last night. Seems like he and Len are switching personalities.
Kim says:
People get hurt more often than the costumes do.
Callie says:
Hasn’t Julianne had her 15 minutes of fame already? I mean it claims to want to be a singer but here she is dancing again. Please - it’s time for her to take her “girls” and disappear. And what kind of mother is laughing at this whole thing. I think the whole family has lost it.
ChuckandJulesFan says:
I really can’t wait for the Salsa next week!
Love that you are both dancing together this season! Keep up the great work!
christina says:
awesome performance!!
the dress you wore was soooooooo beautifull =]
i actually wanted to know if any knows if there are more pictures or the name of the designer?? because i would love to have that style or something very similar as a wedding dress one day!!
Mike says:
Julianne is doing the salsa next week? I can’t wait because we won’t have to look for a wardrobe malfunction because Julianne will probably be practically naked. This girl has the goods and she loves to show it. Thank goodness she isn’t so Mormon anymore!
Jessica says:
Julianne…. you danced beutifully!!! and looked stunning!!! who is the designer of that absolutely beautiful dress that you wore for your first dance on dancing with the stars this season? Thanks!
Kendra says:
I thought the dress was beautiful and it looked almost identical to Julianne’s waltz dress from her first season on the show. I wonder if she wanted to copy that look because it worked before? Although the dress this season was a lot more revealing and lower cut in the front which is what caused the wardrobe malfunction.
Lee says:
Actually, this season’s waltz dress seemed to me more modest than her waltz dress from the first season, which was cut low in the back, but already had the shoulder straps. But I liked both dresses. She seems to know what look works for her and her partners, most of the time.
Julianne, was your waltz song chosen for you and Chuck, or did either of you request it from the producers?
Susan Murray says:
My future daughter-in-law loved Julianne’s gown she wore during her waltz with Chuck. It is exactly what she is looking for for her wedding. Can you please tell us who designed it and where we could get it? She is a size 2 and maybe could buy the one Julianne wore? Just a thought. Thanking you in advance.
Tammy Collins says:
In response to Callie’s comment I would like to know what the problem is with Julianne being a singer and dancing. Is there not football players on there still playing and dancing?? I think Julianne’s dress was beautiful and I taped the dance where I could pause it and rewind it and she in now way showed off her “girls” nearly as much as female dancers in the past have done. The ones watching that wanna complain about seeing a little skin just need to watch something else instead of complaining and let the
ones who love the show enjoy it without listening to and reading their negative comments…KEEP DANCING JULIANNE AND SING YOUR HEART OUT…oops, forgot something…Wasn’t Jewell supposed to dance and is she not a singer too?? I
do believe so but nobody had a problem with that so keep your negative opinions to yourself or change the station AND LET US ENJOY THE REST OF THE SEASON!!!!
angel says:
All of the outfits that they wear on dancing with the stars are made by the wardrobe department on the show.
Jessie says:
hey! thanx for putting these up! funny story there… yeah it happens to the best of us.. anyways i was just going to ask a few questions about backstage stuff. i’m curious about the pro dancers: is it hard to constantly have to choreograph dances every week? do you all have signature moves that you use for each style of dance (ie are there shortcuts that you can take??) second, how long does it take for you guys to learn a dance that you all do together for instance the jive that you did with derek, mark, lacey, tony, and cheryl? and do you all choreograph those together? it must be awesome hanging out with a bunch of dancers… do you all hang out after the show and go partying and all that good stuff? thanx again for doing this and keep up the good work!!
Maria says:
Hey julianne! just one question. how tall are all you guys??? you all seem really really tiny!! when jason taylor was on the show he looked like a good foot taller than the male pro dancers like mark and derek! but jason taylor is only 6 feet 6 inches!! does that mean that mark and derek are only 5 feet 6 inches??!! and that must mean you’re like 5 feet 2 inches!! are all dancers so small?
Maria says:
hey it’s me again. one more question: what’s show day like? what’s your schedule?? is it hectic like with makeup and last minute practicing? do you get down time to hang out with the other couples? are there people backstage that we don’t see who hang with you guys??
Tess says:
hey i’ve got a question for you: do you ever get nervous dancing? you do some pretty impressive things especially when you’re dancing with another pro. is it hard for you or is it easy because you’ve been doing it for so long? do you still need to practice a lot or do you pros just take an hour and then it’s perfect?
Kym=] says:
i love you julianne!!! your always so happy n positive which constantly inspires me n so many other people!! i’m enjoying watching you n chuck, ya’ll are so hilarious and adorable!! keep up the good work n know there’s tons of people voting for you guys so ignore all the crap comments!! you such an amazing dancer n ya’ll are both great artists n i can’t wait to hear ya’ll’s future albums! good luck tonight!=]
Patti and Scot says:
Great dance tonight! My son, Scot, and I went to your concert Sat. night at Snoqualmie Casino and really enjoyed your show. To be able to DANCE, SING, and also be such a beautiful person inside and out, you are truly a triple threat! Also loved Chuck’s figure 8!!! You have an amazing future ahead of you. Please tell your brother-in-law thank you again for pushing my son (in wheelchair) up to the front of the stage to give you the flowers. It made his day!!! He watches you every Mon. night and can’t wait to text his vote in. We will see you here again this summer at the Puyallup Fair. Your friends, Patti and Scot

Julianne–
Our family just LOVES to watch you dance, but we
are tiring of the facial gestures, commenting,
etc. Tonight (4/27/09) we especially felt that
you and now Chuck are getting the big-head.
So inspiring to hear your personal stand on
alcohol use, and you are a very attractive
young lady. The antics are just now needed.

Nancy munzert says:
I met you at a dance studio in Middletown,Delaware (a few months ago) when you and Chuck were in Smyrna to do a benefit. You rehearsed in the studio that my son and daughter own. I was so impressed by the way you treated your fans. We were dying to meet you and have our pictures taken with you. We didn’t know how to ask you if we could takes pictures, but very graciously came to our rescue and asked us if we wanted to take pictues. We have tickets to see you at the Delaware State Fair. My predication is move over Tim and Faith it’s Chuck and Julianne now. I think the two of you are America’s sweethearts and will be for a long time.
That Guy says:
will u post the rehearsal lol
