Trace Adkins Talks Politics, Shortcomings and the Oscars
What is it about Trace Adkins that makes him a must-have guest on serious talk shows? Is he that compelling to talk to? Glenn Beck must think so because he had him on his talk show Monday night (Feb. 23) to talk about the Oscars, politics and his hit single, "Muddy Water." Beck's show is billed as one that looks at topics "through the lens of his unique libertarian perspective." But it's always the lens of Adkins' perspective I enjoy the most. Adkins' take on the economy went something like, "What we're facing right now is a lot bigger than any one person or one ideology. It's just, it's huge, you know." And as for "Muddy Water," Adkins says, "It's a song not so much about repentance, but about recognition, the fact that I recognize before anybody else does and much more clearly than anybody else does what my faults and my shortcomings are, you know." Then the two guys talk a little more politics using sports analogies. If you like Trace Adkins and some man-to-man problem solving, you'll love this.

I happen to like Trace very much and if someone asks his opinion on whatever, he is entitled to it. I hate when people take a sentence out of a whole conversation to make someone look bad just to make a posting. Please, find something a bit more important to blog about, maybe boots??

I don’t think she was trying to make him look bad. What is it about that quote that you think makes him look bad?
