Chuck Wicks, Julianne Hough, Jewel, Ty Murray Are Dancing With the Stars
Chuck Wicks and girlfriend Julianne Hough, along with Jewel and husband (and rodeo champ) Ty Murray, are headed to the new season of Dancing With the Stars. And those crafty folks at ABC decided to announce the new contestants little by little throughout their Sunday night (Feb. 8) programming in an effort to steal a bit of the thunder CBS was enjoying with its telecast of the Grammy Awards. A pretty ingenious assault, to be sure. It's not Hough's first time on Dancing With the Stars, but Wicks' involvement will no doubt create some additional attention for the show -- and for his career as a country music newcomer. Other contestants for the new season include gymnast Shawn Johnson, NFL great Lawrence Taylor, Access Hollywood co-anchor Nancy O'Dell, actor and comedian David Alan Grier, rapper Lil' Kim, Apple co-founder Steve "the Woz" Wozniak, former Go-Go Belinda Carlisle, actress Denise Richards and actor Gilles Marini of Sex and the City. Also taking one of the biggest risks of his life is stuntman Stephen "Steve-O" Glover of Jackass. Dancing With the Stars cranks up its new season on March 9.

All I can say is WHAT THE HECK IS CHUCK WICKS DOING? Is he really that desperate that he needs to promote his music through a silly reality show? Or is he just desperate that he is losing Julianne and wants to keep an eye on her? The worse thing to happen to Chuck has been Julianne. She has been leading him around by the nose and even caused the breakup between Chuck and the girl who inspired his hit song. Chuck was an up and coming singer before he became Mr. Julianne Hough.

I love Julianne. I think she has a great voice, sparkling personality and not bad to look at. I think they will look very cute together. I wish people would give her a change. Her voice is unique. She has to work twice as hard now because of DWTS. Does not seem fare to me….People are so fickled….

I still like Chuck Wicks and Julianne Hough their personal life isn’t any of my business. Plus that “silly little reality show” is also a HUGE hit so if he does well he’ll be a household name. Seems pretty smart to me. Maybe everyone should lighten up!

So now Julianne wants to be dancer again. What happen to taking some time off to write and work on her next CD? I think Julianne is playing with the fans and is now catering to the dance fans to help sell some CD. She will never be a true country artist as long as she keeps flip flopping her passions.

Maybe she decided to stay because Chuck was going to be on the show. Sounds reasonable to me. People still have a right to change their minds don’t they?

Julianne has been contradicting herself on a regular basis for a while now on a variety of things. She knows she’s still under contract with Dancing With The Stars for quite some time, yet, she’s been saying things that would make one believe she was leaving the show soon. She was adamant that she was taking this season off. She needs to learn to not answer in such a definitive way, or better yet not talk so much. She said on QVC just last week that she wasn’t dancing this season. But, lo and behold, this week it’s announce she’s doing it with ”bf.” How convenient for them. From what I’ve seen many are none too thriled with this news, and for good reason. She’s making a mockery out of the show that got her to where she is this quickly. I really used to enjoy her on the show, but I’d rather she jsut leave it all together rather than have to watch ridiculous machinations like this just so they can keep her happy while she phones in the remainder of her contract.

She was planning to take the year off, but return eventually because of the contract– not leave the show altogether. She’s immensely popular with the DWTS crowd and I bet the producers wanted her back. Perhaps one way they could convince her to return was to pair her with Chuck Wicks. That’s probably not an opportunity that will still be around by the time she returns. I think it was a good decision on her part. It does not mean that she’s messing with her fans. I think she has a great voice, I like her music, her personality, and her dancing…I’m happy having the best of both worlds.

2009 CAST line-up to me.
I am excited that Chuck Wicks is on and that Julianne Hough will be his dance partner. I cannot wait to watch them dance together; they are such a cute couple and both have a double talent.
I am also thrilled that Shawn Johnson is going to be on there. LET’S ALL ENJOY THIS SEASON, and forget negative
thoughts and comments.
