Amy and Keith's Redneck Wedding Blog

My Big Redneck Wedding 3Amy and Keith were married on CMT's hit show My Big Redneck Wedding 3. They share their story.

Because we are both truck drivers, there was no question on the theme of our wedding. We picked the perfect date, ten-four to be married. We enlisted the help of Amy's family and our friends to start the planning. We were off to a good start then got stuck (the easy stuff was done), so we had to find some real help and that's when Patty and her daughter Amanda came in. At first they were just going to do the decorations but then after Niece Kristie managed to contact My Big Redneck Wedding we gave them almost all the jobs. Patty enlisted her own crew and made our wedding even better than we imagined. With Patty holding most of the load, our worries were few. We did not have to do any of the set up or clean up for anything that day and boy was that great. Best Man Tim and Maid of Honor Deb stepped up and stayed by our sides. Made sure that everything was in line, and went as planned. Everyone pitched in and things went well.

We were off to a late start cause there were so many people there, how cool is that, a line to get in to our wedding! Then the big trucks start rolling in, all blowing their horns and the shine was great. The Pastor surprised us with some of his words and his great enthusiasm. I really think he made the fun. (He was also chosen by Patty.) Our vows went off with only a few tears. Amy's sister Jo was a life saver in helping us write them. The unity flares were a big hit, and we didn't even get charged for the burn in the tux! We were off to the reception in the big shiny rig, where we received more great surprises from Patty and crew. Our table was awesome and the centerpieces were so great some guests were trying to steal them before we even got there. All in all we had a great day; it will be talked about for a very long time. We hope you enjoy the show as much as we enjoyed our day. It will be like no other wedding you have ever seen!

CHARLIE WAYNE,S ANNUAL BIRTHDAY BASH AND CONCERT

Recording artist Charlie Wayne is scheduled to perform an unplugged acoustic concert at Douglas Corner FEB 28 2009 at 8:00 pm. This show will be just Charlie and his guitar. No smoke and mirrors, no band, just him doing what he loves, singing his songs for the fans. The show will consist of songs from all his albums, including a few Bullet Boy’s hits and some of his newer songs like “Once Upon a Time” and “Duck and the Dove”. Charlie is out promoting his new songs along with his newly published book “Enchanted Life”. The book is an autobiography and also touches on his beliefs of the power of positive thinking sprinkled with the unkown and mysterious. Charlie has met thousands of people throughout the years and many have touched his heart. Many of them have ended up in the book, who knows? You could be too! Pick your copy up at Barnes & Noble or Books-A-Million.
This is a “must see” show! CHARLIE WILL HAVE SOME VERY VERY SPECIAL SUPRISE GUESTS.

This is Patty Gilchrist “the decorator” I had a great time on this wedding. With a lot of research, going on the road and checking out the local truck stops and rest areas, it happened. But I was not on my own. My daughter Amanda worked with me, helping make most everything, she took notes, did computer work and helped in the organization. My husband Gordon helped by taking some pretty sad drawings of mine along with Gary and made some great realistic looking backdrops. Good friends of mine Gary [the hilarious pastor} and Angie Helped me out with setup and take down of the whole works. Amy and Keith Thank you for the opportunity. Kudos to CMT and Pink Sneakers for the show what a total riot. Patty
