Faith Hill, Tim McGraw to Stimulate the Economy
Faith Hill will help sing president-elect Obama into office during a Tuesday night (Jan. 20) concert in Washington, D.C. That much, we knew. But now, thanks to the work of some hotel spies, we know where Hill and Tim McGraw are reportedly going to be stay. The Ritz Carlton Georgetown. More specifically, the presidential suite. The hotel obviously wouldn't confirm that, nor would they say what 2,000 square feet of luxury -- including limestone, slate, a soaking tub, a plasma screen television, a terrace, a formal dining room and a Bang & Olufsen sound system -- would run the country couple. The suite is available the night after the inauguration for $8,000, so chances are Hill and McGraw will be paying a premium. Looks like everyone's doing their part to help the economy.

Bryan says:
Does this have anything to do with their music? Sorry Alison, that was not the best use of your blog. I love the blogs in which you talk about the music and artists who you have recently discovered or rediscovered.
Lisa says:
Your publishing something that was on a “gossip” site. Not the most credible source. Disappointing
Lori says:
Alison, please spare us the details of overrated people. They are not worth talking about so darn much. I think you should be a part of the Budget cuts of this music web site.
Katie says:
So what they spend. It’s their money. There are much better things that could be written about than Faith & Tim spending money.
No need for nasty comments on this blog.
This is pure gossip, unless there is a signed document by them to back up the truth of this anyways, this shouldn’t even have been written. Or any artist.
I am a huge fan of theirs & this will be the first time I say WHO CARES!!!
Lucy says:
I would expect nothing less of them. They have a lot of money. So I am happy that they are stimulating the economy because I can’t.
I’m sure that a lot of the entertainers these days are nervous about whether or not the public will have enough money to go to their concert and buy their CD’s. I’m sure some are hoping that they will be able to maintain their lifestyles. Must be stressful.
Bryan says:
It’s one thing to ask Alison to write about Tim/Faith’s music instead of what they spend their money on. Or any other artist for that matter.
But to the people who come on here just to diss an artist, do you have any better things that you could be doing with your time? So you’re not a fan, okay no problem. But have respect and don’t waste time dissing someone behind a computer screen. Would you say that to their face? We all know the answer is no you would not.
Lori says:
I’m so proud of Faith. Good for her and Tim they have both worked very hard and should be able to enjoy the luxury that they have earned. I’m not an Obama fan but definately and Tim and Faith fan. McGraws rock!!
K says:
WHO CARES….
steve says:
Will that be taken off too?
steve says:
Most things you put on this blog are taken off if CMT doesnt like it. Maybe we should boycott CMT
Carol says:
Well, I am not sure why my post was deleted. After reading some of the posts that were left up, it is shocking that my post was taken down. I didn’t make any personal attacks at all. I just stated that spending 8000 dollars a night on a Hotel was crazy. I said it was amusing how some Country Stars (I am a fan of many of them) sing songs trying to convince us that they are just like us, ‘The Common Man’. I don’t think half off them would have a clue what is was like anymore to work for several months to make the amount of money they throw away in one night. I mean really think about that number…8000 dollars for one night. Beyond amazing. They aren’t they only ones. As I stated earlier, I am a fan of Alan Jacksons, but when I hear him sing about being a Country Boy, I just laugh. He lives in a unbelievable Mansion. I have seen photos of it, and it is jaw dropping. I don’t begrudge these people what they have, but please don’t act like you can identify with the average Joe out there. Maybe at one time, but not anymore.
Lori says:
It is a sad day when you spend your time trashing a couple that work hard for their money. Yes, they do, it takes a lot of effort to pick songs, which help a song writer (s) out, not to mention the musicians. They raise money and donate money for charity and in one article you belittle all that they do for what???? Did it make you happy, maybe give you a thrill as you are not in their shoes??? Grow up and show some respect. yes they have money now, they had to work for it in a different way than you did or even I do. We won’t go into the trash talk about sweet innocent children that should NEVER have been brought into the comments in the first place.
Michelle says:
They will definately lose fans because they support Obama right or wrong.
Katie says:
Fans that love their music who buy their music go to their concerts are no going to like them because they support Obama.
That is not going to happen. Your a fan your a fan. It is not like they committed a crime.
Well, if that happened which won’t, there will be so many musicians & celebrities that will lose fans because they support Obama. Check the list of musicians & celebrities that are going to be there, they are not losing anyone.
I guess Oprah show will go down the drain also. NOT!
Some people are upset over the new President which is obvious, but can’t take it out on the McGraws.
CJ says:
Mine was taken off also. I just stood up for Tim and Faith. We all have a right to our opinions.
April says:
if i say hi and tim and faith are the everything in this world will it get put on since they are filtering who and what is being said? Got to love cmt, how was that can I get that posted??
April says:
yup see i put nice stuff on and it gets posted, so I guess I must continue the way of lying and being sarcastic to be able to post, not worth my time
Obama is the best! says:
Good, I’m glad Tim and Faith are smart enough to support the best man for the job with the brains to fix the huge economic mess made over the past 8 years instead of supporting just any Republican candidate or president just to pander to Republicans. They have a new fan. Who cares if they spent $8,000 on room. They should stay in a presidential suite since they are the president and first lady of country.
Stacey says:
Cam.. I cannot believe the things you have said about Tim and Faith. They are great people. Both of them didn’t have a lot growing up, so they have worked for every dime they make. They should be applauded for the way they live there lives. As Faith has said before “It’s about God, Family and hard work”. In today’s society, they are a perfect example of that. As parents they are devoted to their children and they kids should not have to be exposed to all the negative comments about their parents. Faith is not on the downslide and Tim is NOT a never was. These are human beings you are talking about.. not a piece of trash.
countryiscool says:
If one is to complain about how celebs spend their $$, I would complain about the $$ spent on inauguration balls of gov’s and prez-regardless of WHO they are or what “party.” The tax payers may not foot the bill, but it is still excess in the face of so many in dire circumstances. I personally don’t care how people spend THEIR $$$ or whom they support.
I happen to like Tim & Faith, but I like artists for their MUSIC, don’t care about political leanings one way or the other.
CJ says:
Stacey I totally agree with everything you posted. It was not that long ago everyone lived Tim and Faith. Seems as though people do not like people that make it big. I am always happy for people that deserve it.
GoBama says:
Cam, Tim is right because Clinton is one of the best presidents in history. What was the state of the economy when he was in office and what is it now? Enough said.
Katie says:
When Clinton was in, I remember looking through the newspaper for a job, there were pages. Now there is like 1 page if that.
He was a great president even though what he did that was wrong..you know what I am talking about.
Now a lot of can’t even get a full time job & on top of that a job with benefits. Even Circuit City is closing down, that is bad.
I just want a president that will get us back on our feet. Which probably will take years.
Lucy says:
Frankly I think that Tim and Faith will fly into town and fly out after the festivities. I once stayed at a hotel that had Miley Cyrus bus parked outside. She wasn’t there, she was staying somewhere else, so…….
I didn’t vote for Obama, I figured not as much experience. But I do wish him the best. Because I want the best. We all made them what they are today. But I’m sure they are all shaking in their fancy cowboy boots due to the economy. Their jobs aren’t exactly recession proof. So of course they will cheer Obama on.
Jessica H says:
Who cares what they do with their money? Who really cares?
And to Michelle who posted this:
“They will definately lose fans because they support Obama right or wrong.”
WRONG…if you have a mind of your own.
Why should who they support affect who anyone else supports? We are all our own people who make our own decisions. Why does liking or not liking someones political views have anything to do with liking or not liking their music? That does NOT make any sense to me. Maybe someone can explain this??
ROSEBUD says:
CJ and Stacey I completely agree with your statements. It is crazy that when an artist starts out we want them to be on top, but once they get there we want to tear them apart. It sounds like “sour grapes” to me.
Jessica H I feel the same way. Celebrities are Americans too they have every right to support a canidate. Us normal citizens endorse and support certain polititions why can’t celebs? With that being said I really don’t know who they actually voted for and don’t care. We all need to move past this because Obama is our president and we need to support him so we can get this country back on track!
ROSEBUD says:
Wow the jealousy over Faith is unreal. I think it’s pretty safe to say you’re a LOSER!
countryiscool says:
Whomever bans or deletes derogatory/negative comments off these blogs, definitely needs to delete Billy altogether. There is absolutely NO CALL for that language on here. There are artists I don’t like, and have said so, but disgusting name calling should NOT b allowed. Anyone reading/listening?
steve says:
countdown till this blog is taken off
Dee says:
Who cares what Tim and Faith spend their money on. It is we, the country music public, that put those millions in their pockets and it is their business how they spend those millions.
Stacey says:
If anyone has watched the coverage today. Tim and Faith are the only artists standing for our new leader whether people like it or not. My hope is that changes can and will be made so that the economy will get better and the future of our children will not have to struggle along with the elderly. Sometimes change is good. Don’t judge before he has the opportunity to try and fix this hole America is in.
The Real Deal says:
Forget all these haters Allison! There was nothing “nasty” or “negative” in your blog. If I could ever make enough money to stay at the PRESIDENTAL SUITE on the night of a PRESIDENTAL INAUGUARTION I would be outta my head excited! And if people really didn’t care, they wouldn’t take the time to comment on your blog. Not that you need/or care to have my approval, but I enjoyed your blog and continue the good work!
ROSEBUD says:
You’re right Faith is a beautiful woman and you are being catty!
EXFAN says:
I am extremely disappointed Faith has forgotten her fan base, and even more disappointed that such a promising newcomer as Rodney Atkins would get sucked into the vaccuum of ignorance. The McGraw’s have enough money to wallow around in the Washington muck without my ticket money. (Now maybe we know why they moved. The neighbors probably wanted them out.)Maybe Rodney can tour with the Dixie Chicks. Such a loss. And you’re right, they can support whoever they want, but not with my money.
Stacie says:
I was shocked how much they have deleted this topic. Almost all the post’s that were not 100% positive comments about Tim and Faith have been taken down. I understand them taking down the hateful stuff, but some of the post’s deleted were just people disagreeing with some of the liberal politics on here. I am not sure why EXFAN is angry with Rodney Atkins, but if It makes you feel any better, he is doing a ‘Welcome Home’ performance in Texas for George Bush. Google it. It seems, from your post, your were under the impression he was doing something for Obama. Am I right in guessing that.
Camilla says:
As we all know who have tried to get decent inexpensive rooms for the Tours, vacations etc. . . . the best always go first. And the more expemsive often go last . . . could be they were not sure about their plans and their personal schedules so they took what was left and if the Suite at that price is what was left, then they did what they felt was right for them, their family and the honor of participating in this celebratory event. Kudoes to them for benefiting from their hard work, dedicated time to family, friends and fans as well as their country. Costs are all relative to our assets and I’m sure there are people who spend money for tickets, travel, hotels, etc. that is way beyond their income means but it is something they enjoy . . . so the celbrities are no different yet they are always expected to work year round and then give it away rather than enjoy themselves some. (Shaking my head . . . I’ll never understand people’s thinking. How many of us spend the same percentage of our income for charities as the celebraties do . . . and when you get into certain income brackets it is best to do that rather than have to pay so much in taxes.
The blogs have begun to “heat below the belt” too many times with peoples personal lives . . . not just the McGraws.
EXFAN says:
I was so glad to see I was the misinformed one concerning Rodney Atkins. He is performing with Lee Greenwood in Midland. Thanks for the heads up. It has just been a sad day.
