Hey Girls, Come Over for Kid Rock and Crackers
After 18 years in the same house in the same suburb, I have been invited to every kind of house party. Tupperware, Southern Living at Home, Pampered Chef, Silpada Jewelry, CAbi Apparel, Tastefully Simple, PartyLite Candles, Arbonne. You name it, I've bought it after a few glasses of wine and some cream cheese-and-chutney cracker spread. But this? This is new, and I wish I'd thought of it first. Music house parties. You invite friends over, let them listen to some music and then they place an order for the stuff they love. These get-togethers allow you to "open your home to music," and I'm guessing, make a few bucks while you're at it. Right now, with the exception of Kid Rock's genre-blurring tunes like "All Summer Long" and "Roll On," they have very sparse country offerings in their catalog of 100. But as soon as they add some Sugarland, Kenny Chesney and Keith Urban, sign me up as a party hostess.
