Doyle & Debbie Have Me Laughing in Disbelief
I hope everyone was able to catch America's country sweethearts, Doyle & Debbie, last night (Jan. 5) on Late Night With Conan O'Brien. They perform their comedy routine weekly at the Station Inn in Nashville and I've been trying to go for a while, but it hasn't worked out. I've got no choice but to go now -- this looks like way too much fun. Political and grammatical correctness (among other things) are not big concerns, and their oblivious nature about it makes them incredibly funny, so this duo will have you laughing in disbelief for sure. For instance, take this nugget of wisdom: "I believe in the three R's: R children R R future. We must teach them that temptation comes in many disguises. A bottle of beer, a bag of dope or even a fast-talkin' methamphetamine dealer with a silver Camaro that tells you his uncle has connections in Nashville." Words to live by.
