I Saw John Rich in Concert Through CMT Music Pass
Thanks to CMT Music Pass for sending me to the John Rich Show at the Las Vegas Hilton on Dec. 12, 2008. The show was opened by Two Foot Fred and some jokes you can only tell in Las Vegas. Cowboy Troy was next and really got everyone going. Then out came John Rich, rocking and singing some AC/DC, much to the dismay of one woman. He actually stopped the show, talked to her about the situation, agreed to sing some more country songs and then actually sang a song to her.
He mentioned that he had just gotten married the weekend before and asked if there were any newlyweds in the audience. Tom and Tara were picked to come up onstage, given a bottle of champagne, which was poured into their cowboy boot-shaped beer mugs, only after Tom had to chug what was left in his and John Rich finished off Tara's boot. John sang "Lost in This Moment" to them while making them kiss onstage every time he told the audience to sing. John sang some new songs, including his new single, "I'll Never Find Another You," due out Jan. 12. I cannot wait for his new album and the first single is definitely going to be a hit.
Then it was time to rock again with special guest Gone Country 2 winner Sebastian Bach, who can really swing that hair of his. The show ended with all of them -- John Rich, Two Foot Fred, Cowboy Troy and Sebastian Bach -- singing "Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy" with everyone in the audience on their feet dancing, including a Paris Hilton look-alike who made it up on the stage and gave Two Foot Fred a dance he won't soon forget! Only in Vegas! I had a great time! Thanks again, CMT.

Maybe it WAS Paris Hilton or maybe it was a dude!
Bob R says:
It’s a shame that Country music has to tolerate the influx of people like John Rich! Country music for ages has been just that; COUNTRY MUSIC. Now’days we have the Rascal Flats, cowboy Troy, the bozo from Hootie and The Blowfish idiots wanting to sing Country music, cross over they call it. Brovo-Seraha I call it! They should be shunned by Country Music professionals’ through-out the Country Music industry! Shut out exactly as The Dixie Chicks have been since there Bush fiasco. These people are NOT Country. No matter how they dress up, sing or act,,,, they are NOT Country! Let’s say you have a pure bread Tennessee Walker. You would not breed him w/ a mule?? Would you?? That’s what the Kidd Rocks are doing to the beautiful Southern World of COUNTRY MUSIC!!
Buck Owend and all of the greats that passed before him are probably turning over in their graves!
KEEP AMERICA AMERICA, KEEP COUNTRY MUSIC COUNTRY!

Country music has gotten a new face and a whole lot of new fans and faces because of John Rich, the Eagles, Rascal Flatts, Taylor Swift, Sugarland and the rest of them like George Jones, Alan Jackson, Johnny Cash and George Straight are FRIENDS with all the musicians whether or not they play the type music played by the old time country, new country or in-between country. I have heard John Rich play all kinds of country and play it dang good! Soooooo, keep it up John, and the rest of you country stars! You can rock my world with any type of music any day!
Linda Hannagan says:
What a totally abserd statement. Maybe you should listen to some other type of music, because with the statement you made, you showed what a complete fool you are. Rascal Flatts, John Rich, Darius Rucker, et al., not country? You are truely a JACKA**. COUNTRY MUSIC DOES NOT NEED YOUR KIND TO LISTEN. GO AWAY———-FAR AWAY.
Laurie G says:
I agree, that is an abserd statement, after all, the late great Johnny Cash started out in Rock. I think JR is awesome!
