Put Country Thunder Tickets on Layaway
The official press release calls it "helping fans in this economic crisis." I call it brilliant. Even if you don't have the cash right here, right now, you can still get tickets to the Country Thunder USA festival taking place in April in Florence, Ariz. So you can look forward to immersing yourself in four days of Tim McGraw, Alan Jackson, Montgomery Gentry, Little Big Town, Neal McCoy, Blake Shelton, Rodney Atkins, Keith Anderson and the Zac Brown Band. But you don't have to immerse yourself in debt. You can pay upfront or in three payments. "Every day we hear more and more people worried about the economy and how they are going to afford to do the fun things that they love to do. We know that Country Thunder USA is a place where these folks can let loose and leave their worries at home for a weekend," says Brian Andrew, producer of Country Thunder USA. It may sound like a positive spin on a desperate situation, but I'm all for finding new ways to rationalize festival tickets. So instead of one big fat $500 charge showing up on your credit card, it's three little $167 charges. Which is barely even noticeable.

Meghan says:
Dumb Idea. Still have to pay installments. Just pay the whole thing now because the money may not be available. I wonder if you will get a refund if you can’t pay the second or third payments? Dumb!
Kim says:
At least they’re trying.
Lynn says:
That is a lot of money for entertainment! But if you don’t have the money, then don’t spend what you don’t have. But people can do whatever they want.
It is hard today when you want so much enjoyment & some people can’t enjoy themselves because they can’t afford it.
In my opinion they know they won’t get as many people out there, so that is why they are doing this. LOWER THE COST!!
$167 is noticeable!
Hope everyone that goes has a great time. :)
Sharon says:
I would never pay $500 for any concert. Sorry! Are they giving prizes away for these high ticket prices? What a waste of hard earned money.
CJ says:
I am with you Sharon I would not pay $500 to see any artist. Lower the tickets and more people will go.
Ham says:
It’s still $500 even if broken down into payments. You must think we are all idiots. Big music is just looking for another gamble to keep their hands in my pockets. Sorry, NO GO.
Valerie says:
I think having the choice of payments are a good idea. At least the option is there. To grab seats you want and keep your budget. Though in my mind everyday people wouldnt call the amount little mentioned in article. JMO
Lynn says:
Not only is the ticket expensive. But this concert I believe is in Arizona. So if you don’t live close by, and you are going to go you are going to be paying for airline ticket or gas to drive their then food, drinks, etc..
Cassie says:
I purchased tickets last year to this concert in Texas. They dedcided just a few days prior to the concert to cancel the concert. I was upset, but things happen. I understood. I received an email telling me that in the “next few weeks” I would receive more information on a refund. I called the customer service number SEVERAL times. It is now almost March 2009. I HAVE YET TO RECEIVE A REFUND. Now the customer service number listed is disconnected. I spend over $250. I want my money back. I feel cheated and lied to! I would never purchase tickets from this company EVER AGAIN!
