Now Anyone Can Duet With Elvis Presley

Posted: December 5th, 2008 at 3:39 pm  |  By: Chris Parton

Elvis PresleyIf you need a unique (and free) gift for someone this Christmas season, here's an idea. You can record your own duet with Elvis Presley and send it to them as an e-card. The track is "Blue Christmas," from Elvis Presley's Christmas Duets. On the CD, Martina McBride sings with the King, but for the e-card you get to do her part. The Web site gives you a number to call and a code to punch in, then you just sing your verses into the phone and it gets transferred to the Net. Not sure if you can retry it if you mess up, though. I might give it a shot just to see how bad I sound trying to harmonize with Elvis over the phone. But not until later. I don't think the office needs to hear that.

Elvis’s Christmas albums are the best selling Festive albums ever recorded.

How many people know the young actress Dolores Hart chosen to be Elvis’s girl in two movies 1957/58, now is Prioress, Sister Dolores hart, osb, and living as a Nun in an Abbey in Bethlehem!

“O Little Town of Bethlehem” is on “Elvis’ Christmas Album” released 1957.

Martina McBride and Elvis singing “Blue Christmas” as a duet on youtube is getting hundreds of thousands of hits a week!
“Goldmine” magazine features Elvis in it’s next issue which hits the streets around the 12th of December.
Now excuse me while I clear my throat………

A dream come true that would be! Getting to sing Martina’s part of a song one of my idols and getting to sing with Elvis a legend!

If only my dreams would turn into realities.

I did it, and it was fun, but it took eight tries. A couple of times, you’re told the recording didn’t get made. A couple of times, the audio breaks up in various places. Almost always, your vocal, at the end, with Elvis, lags behind him a couple of secs. And your volume is very low, so sing loud and clear. Oh–and, so far, the emailing part of it hasn’t worked; it’s been a couple of hours. maybe it’s no such number, no such zone! And be ready to hear Martina’s voice over the lines you sing. Just sing anyway; she disappears on your version. Good luck and have fun. And thank you, Elvis. Thank you very much.

As well, the King makes more money because you’re making more money. This is your own duet that is often over-looked by the King.
