The New Man in Carrie Underwood's Life? Elvis Presley
Stork. Phelps. Romo. So many men have been linked to Carrie Underwood, but this time, she's really found her soulmate. Elvis Presley. Granted, he's not living in the here and now. But they are so good together on his Elvis Presley's Christmas Duets CD. The two sing "I'll Be Home for Christmas" together. Underwood said singing "with" Presley was very surreal, but that it felt like a good thing to do. "When Priscilla asks you to sing with Elvis, you do it," she told Entertainment Tonight. She added that she loves traditional Christmas songs like this one because of their ability to stand the test of time. I have to agree although she'd probably sound just as good dueting on more modern country Christmas tunes like Kenny Chesney's "All I Want for Christmas Is a Real Good Tan" or Garth Brooks' "Baby Jesus Is Born."

mia says:
yah Carrie! i love this song- Carrie & Elvis sound great together! <3
Janet says:
I agree with one professional review I read, she PHONED in her response. Wynnona gave her heart to it.
Carrie sorry but her performance was not even close to being worth to sing with Elvis.
Janet says:
Actually Wynonna and faith Hill aer the soulmates to Elvis they have the soul deep richness and soul in their voice that Carrie does not have with her screaming.
Janet says:
Alsion is this your new job doing blogs with your OPINIONS on CMT? Like I said your opinions don’t make them facts.
Kevin says:
This is the blog section of this website…not the NEWS section. Which means Alison is free to add her opinion whenever she wants to.
Jordyn barr says:
listening to carrie sing christmas music on christmas is the best christmas! i love carrie so much!
Alison says:
Thanks, Kevin!
Jim Burrows says:
carrie’s diet with Elvis is soothing to the soul. In fact, what stops this effort from being a classic is the instrumentation at the break. But when they are singing, both indivisually, and together, it’s magic.
dj says:
Hey Janet neither does your opinion make it fact. Now anyone that is not jealous of Carrie has to know it is a Beautiful Duet. Not saying the others are not good because they are –But Carrie is Beautiful.
Kim says:
I’m real sick of that “you have to be jealous of carrie to not like her” attitude. that’s ridiculous. you can not like someone’s music and not be green eyed jealous of them. personal preferences can in fact, have nothing to do with jealously.
it is a good duet, yes. the whole thing is good. i’m not going to listen to it much until after tomorrow though. happy Thanksgiving all!
Matt says:
I found this duet, as well as all of the duets on the cd, to be quite impressive. Carrie Underwood shows class once again in my opinion. I also bought the rerelease of her cd with the Christmas album at Wal-Mart and really enjoyed the sensitivity in her voice.
I Love Music says:
I have both the Elvis Duets and Carries Bonus Christmas CD with Carnival Ride and both are great.
BC says:
I have the Elvis Duets CD…GREAT!!! All the duets are wonderful..Carrie is wonderful. I also have Carrie’s CR bonus CD…her Christmas music is beautiful!!! I saw where Priscilla said that Carrie reminded her of Elvis..that Carrie was so hard working and humble!!!
TimMcGrawForLIfe says:
Janet— you need to take your bashing elsewhere. Carrie is amazing and her duet with Elvis is the strongest song on the entire cd. Carrie Did NOT scream and you are out to lunch. Carrie sings beautifully and is one of teh best vocalists out there right now, in any genre.
CarrieRocks says:
This is a beautiful duet and clearly the best part of the cd. I also love Wynonna’s song- that rocked.
It is very flattering that Pricilla Presley asked Carrie to be on the cd. WOW.
Janet– all the reviews I have read of this cd are positive, especially towards Carrie’s song. the reviews on itunes all love Carrie’s song with Elvis too. You probably found one review that didn’t like Carrie before he even heard the song– so you ignore the numerous positive reviews, and focus on one negative one. Classic Carrie hater troll.
Carrie has never sounded better then with Elvis. It is beautiful, soft, classy, and old fashioned sounding. LOVE IT!
Nashville says:
The Elvis Duets is amazing–My favorites ar Carrie Martina and Wynonna. I would love for Carrie and Wynonna to do a song together. It would rock.
bkb says:
all of the women on the cd are wonderful carrie is good, but to pick her out of this group would not be my thing, anyway wynonna and martina are my picks.
Tui08 says:
Carrie was beautiful singing with Elvis, her voice was soo soft it was almost like listening to silk if silk were human and could sing. Just show’s how much she has grown as an artist and a singer. Wonderful.
Janet sorry but if you don’t have anything nice to say don’t say it at all.
K says:
If people are negative towards Carrie’s duet it’s because that is their opinion. I don’t think there’s a need for people to jump all over it and say someone is “bashing” Carrie because they don’t like her singing. This a blog and people should feel free to post what they want.
I am a huge Carrie fan, but I personally don’t like her Christmas songs. I think they were all recorded to softly, and the power of Carrie’s voice is not showcased, which is what I love about her as an artist.
countryiscool says:
Elvis has (not) left the building, sorry. No one REALLY dies in this life- the media won’t let them. Alas, many greedy people continue to cash in on someone else’s celebrity. That said, even though I happen to enjoy the duets, I agree that Elvis music is fine on it’s own.
RedMaZ says:
I agree countryiscool. A clear cut case of greed by everybody involved in this project. Elvis’ Christmas music, and all of his music for that matter is fine the way it is. Let the man and his recordings Rest in Peace.
Brian Quinn says:
The Elvis Christmas Duets is a great album. Carrie Underwood and the rest of the female singers all complement Elvis well.
Kevin says:
Yes, Elvis’ music is fine on its own….but this duets album is also good. Id say Elvis is resting just fine. Also, this could be what turns alot of other people onto Elvis’ music, so i definitely have no problem with that.
CJ says:
I think all the artists are wonderful on this CD. I have to say I like Carries voice with Elvis the most. I think Carrie, Martina, Faith, Wynonna all have great voices.
Karen says:
Carrie sounds great on this :D
Holly says:
Someone’s voice can’t make another’s voice sound any better. That’s the oddest thing I’ve ever heard, King.
I’m the biggest Carrie fan I know and I love all of her Christmas songs, but I don’t think it is fair to point out just one song from the CD. I think every last song on the album is beautiful and should be pointed out. It was nice of Alison to give Carrie’s a nice point out, though. :)
Jill says:
I have the Elvis Duets and all of the women due a phenomenal job blending with his voice. I have the Bonus Carnival Ride
CD and I am so grateful that Carrie recorded those five songs when she is so busy on tour right now. I will play and replay those five songs throughout the season. The songs being so classic and Carries voice being so Angelic it will remind me the reason we celebrate.
Jenna says:
I love Carrie’s duet with Elvis! I also have her Christmas music bonus CD. She is great!! Carrie sings so beautiful! She is one of the the few artists that can sing live with no studio enhancements and sound just as good as her recorded music! Keep up the good work Carrie! You are awesome! All the country ladies sounds wonderful on the Elvis duets CD. Every fan should buy one! You will really enjoy it!
PJ says:
What a great duet!!! I’ll Be Home for Christmas is one of my favorite Christmas songs! Carrie sounds wonderful with Elvis!!! Love it, love it!!!!
Karen says:
Funny how when you are on top people just want to bring you down. Can’t wait for the day Carrie doesn’t win any more awards just so the haters will stop complaining/whining.
Karen says:
Good thing Carrie said she is okay if she doesn’t win another award even though she will continue to sing and put out another album.
Karen says:
So her fans can enjoy her music and she can do what she loves, singing.
Karen says:
Carrie’s duet w/ Elvis is on itunes for those that just want her duet and not want to buy the whole album. FYI.
bkb says:
sorry karen you and other are missing out a whole bunch by not buying the cd. i don’t know who would even want to do this. don’t be so simple minded.
Karen says:
No everybody should go buy the whole cd if they can. But I was saying if you can’t, you can still purchase songs individually on itunes.
Karen says:
too. Sorry if I didn’t explain it better :D
JP says:
Just the fact that Priscilla picked Carrie to participate, says it all!!!! Carrie sings like an Angel. I loved the CD…they all blended well with Elvis’s voice.
bkb says:
karen, sorry i miss understood, also priscilla picked martina to do the video.
Karen says:
Yes, and Martina’s duet is also on itunes too in addition to Carrie’s. Both did great on their duets.
Karen says:
Plus, Carrie has 5 christmas songs on her Walmart CR exclusive, which are beautiful too.
Judy says:
I think the whole idea that Prisilla had to do this Christmas duet with such talented wonderful artists is just and honor in itself. Carrie, was so sweet, and humble sounding on her song of “I’ll Be Home For Christmas”. Carrie, does have an absolute flawless voice and is so angelic. Elvis, would have loved her.
I thought Martina, Wynonna, and all of the other did a wonderful job. This is such a blessing for all of us fr the holiday season. There is no one better than the “King” and then to have al of these wonderful, talented woman with him is just a plus.
Great Job everyone!!!!!!!
Judy
Karen says:
Yes, everybody did a great job.
Karen says:
Why not spend time on threads of artists you like instead.
Jamie says:
I love my entire Elvis Christmas Duets CD. Carrie’s voice has such a soothing and mesmerizing tone to it and her and Elvis’s voices blend beautifully. I think all the ladies did a very commendable job on this one and it is a great CD for your Christmas collection. What an honor to be asked to be a part of this collaboration - Priscilla picked some wonderful artists. My particular favorites in addition to Carrie are Martina, Wynonna and Anne Murray but all of them are worth a listen.
rory says:
I’m sure Priscilla wouldn’t have put duet tracks on the album that weren’t anything but truly great- this was a wonderful idea and I think enhances Elvis’s Christmas tunes - some may see it as being done for financial gain but heck it’s a win win for Elvis fans and fans of the wonderful ladies of country music-
it’s a great CD and I love all the tracks !
KAREN K says:
Its jut amazing the things that can be done with music and video from the past and Yes Carrie’s duet with Elvis was well worth listening too and all the ladies did a great job!! After all they are all the top ladies of country music!!

Allison
You neglected to mention all the vocal talent bridged together to make up this Duets CD with the King. I also think Pricilla is more than satisfied with all the other vocalist as well. Your blog comes off as being one sided.
Bobbalynn says:
this janet person is very negative, shes commented on other things about carrie very negative. carrie is excellent and that describes her the best. I love her to death.
MiaT says:
I LOVE this cd. Carrie added the perfect touch!!
lauren says:
rebelyell,im sorry but this isnt the only blog alison’s done about the cd. she just done one on martina Mcbrides contribution in the elvis duets cd too. but of course people have to say something negative about carrie. And think alison is one-sided when shes not.
Alison Bonaguro says:
Never meant to come off as one-sided, but this was a blog about that particular song as opposed to an album review. But trust me, if I’d done that, I’m sure I’d only have good things to say about all the duets.
Wendy says:
Thanks, Alison. I bought the Elvis Duets CD and you are right. Carrie and Elvis are so good together. I just love her duet!
King says:
Elvis is rolling in his grave at the sounds of this album. He and the Colonel both would have disapproved, big time.
RedMaZ says:
I don’t know if the Parker would have disapproved, as long as he was getting some of the profit. He was as greedy as Pricilla. As far as Elvis…it’s a disgrace to his legacy. Seems nothing is sacred, as long as someone else can make money from it. Elvis’ recordings were fine on their own. This is nothing more than greed. Disgusting. Rest in Peace Elvis…as soon as you stop spinning. If you can.
AFAN says:
I don’t know about that Red–I think Elvis would have been happy to sing with most of the women on the duets album.
RedMaZ says:
Maybe if he was alive, but he’s dead! So he can’t make that decision now can he? I never implied he wouldn’t want to have sung with some of these people. I’m talking about this project. This is based on greed. Elvis’ recordings are just fine on their own. Overdubbing a bunch of other singers on it does no good except for profit off of a dead man.
King says:
Elvis never sang duets.. only in a movie once with Ann Margaret.. so why on earth would anybody think he would want his old, original recordings remixed and paired up with new singers who aren’t even all that talented? That makes no sense. And, if Parker wouldn’t allow for Elvis to be in a Star Was Born because he didn’t want Elvis to share top billing.. I doubt he would’ve approved this duets album. Ofcourse, anything is possible. And, if anybody knows anything about Elvis they would know that he wouldn’t have wanted Priscilla making ANY decisions for him dead or alive. She asked for the divorce and did not want to use the Presley name. She did ask for a substantial amount of money every month from big E.. but they rarely spoke after the divorce and she cared nothing for him or his music. Infact, when he would dedicate songs to her in Vegas she wouldn’t pay attention and would laugh most of the time with friends during the songs. It’s only after he died that she saw dollar signs and somehow fell in love with Elvis again and using the Presley name beside her first once again. Elvis has been rolling in his grave for years.. With all of the negative, yet truthful stuff said.. I have to admit I kinda like the 68 comeback special duet video with Martina.. It’s well done and she looks the part.. and sings well. The album, however, is a disaster.
K says:
The bashing of this CD seems so uncalled for. To those of you who say Elvis would’ve disproved of this CD:
For starters, his WIFE handpicked each of these singers. You’d think, aside from Elvis himself, she’d be the only person who can judge what he would have liked.
Secondly, yes Elvis is fine on his own, but again, his wife was the very person who iniated this collection, so how can you say it wasn’t wanted or needed?
And, you people bashing the singers on this cd…until you are handpicked by ELVIS’S WIFE to do a duet with one of the biggest names in rock history you might want to keep quiet…the fact that all these women who chosen speaks for itself.
kimberly says:
carry you are a big rollmlodel!all of my friend and me LOVE YOU!!!
your songs anspier us and we hope you come out with more we have all your cds mags cloths pics every thing!
!!!WE LOVE YOU CARRY!!! xoxox, kimmy, jamie, shianne, cashley, alex, brooke, makkena, breal, ashley and many more
King says:
K - DID YOU READ ANY OF MY MESSAGE ABOVE? PRISCILLA WAS HIS EX-WIFE. THEY GOT A DIVORCE FOR A REASON. SHE DID NOT LOVE ELVIS. ELVIS NO LONGER LOVED HER. SHE LEFT HIM FOR ANOTHER MAN. SHE DIDN’T WANT TO USE THE PRESLEY NAME UNTIL HE DIED. THEY DIVORCED IN 1973 AND ACTUALLY LEFT HIM IN 1972.. HE DIED IN 1977. THEY RARELY EVEN SPOKE TO EACH OTHER. THE FACT THAT PRISCILLA NOW MAKES DECISIONS ON HIS BEHALF IS ABSURD. IF ANYBODY SHOULD BE MAKING THE DECISIONS IT’S HIS DAUGHTER, NOT AN EX WIFE WHOM HE DIDN’T EVEN WANT TO BE AROUND HIM THE LAST FEW YEARS OF HIS LIFE. THE CD IS SOMETHING HE ALMOST CERTAINLY WOULD NOT HAVE WANTED.
King says:
And besides all of the above that I’ve stated.. the real question is why is this cd important? Why not just listen to the original Elvis Christmas records? The whole point is just beyond me.. anytime one of the female artists start to sing it just messes the recording up.. they are Elvis songs and Elvis recordings and they shouldn’t have been messed with. Simple as that. It’s a cheap gimmick to make the estate more money.
Kevin says:
Here is a FACT- NOBODY knows what Elvis would or would not have wanted if he were alive…. because we are not ELVIS. Bottom line…only the man himself knows what he would or wouldnt have wanted. He might have loved the idea or he might have hated it. WE dont know and never will.
RedMaZ says:
Yeah. No one is even talking about if Elvis would’ve liked it or not. The talk is about this project of Elvis’ EX Wife. Having a crop of singers come in and overdub thier vocals onto classic Elvis tunes for profit is wrong.
Carriefan says:
I’m one of Carrie’s biggest fans out there. I absolutely LOVE everything she does. Every single song out there that has her vocals in it, I love.
This duet is so amazing! I wonder how they got Elvis and Carrie to sing together - did they sing separately and mix their vocals together?
Still, I love, love, LOVE Carrie! I’m so devastated every time I hear something negative about her - she is such an amazing vocalist and such a great person.
RedMaZ says:
…whoa
Kim says:
somebody get Red some Nitro pills for the ol’ ticker…Red stay with us! stay with us! its going to be ok!
Kim says:
CarrieFan, you might want to lighten up. its a fact of life that not everyone agrees and there are negative people out there. “devasted every time” you hear something negative about Carrie is a little extreme. she is human, and capable of a bad song, media screw-up etc. she’s not a reincarnation of a greek muse. relax.
RedMaZ says:
All is fine here. Who are you?
King says:
Sing seperately? Seriously? Carriefan.. Elvis is dead. He sang his part in 1957. Seperate from Carrie Underwood who sang her part in 2008.
Kim says:
I’m guessing that was supposed to say how not who, lol. worried about my longhorns. The BCS playoffs picture is a mess in the big 12 south. and getting into the playoffs is really subjective because of the voting aspect of it….anyway.
not sure i’m impressed overall with the christmas albums out this year. the elvis duets thing has been done before (not elvis though). its good, but….eh. Faith’s is good, but I’ve got a million different versions of those songs now. thinking of forgetting it and going with Manheim Steamroller this year….so many decisions!! good thing its not like I have finals coming up or a paper or anything. I can worry about this! lol.
You?
Kim says:
and you must have been close if you could tell that it was a strawberry smoothie.
RedMaZ says:
Oh? okay. You’re the Kim from Texas! So I will say, How are you? But know I already now ;)
Kim says:
oh oops. figured that was a typo. same three letters anyway. sorry won’t do that again!
K says:
Ya, I never bought her personality all the time, but I don’t buy the cursing and bossing the staff around…Although I can believe she wouldn’t be the nicest, there are SO many negative stories about her personality that I’ve heard it’s unbelievable…
Kim says:
how much staff does she have? yeesh is she ever alone? do they try to put her on the short a leash?
King says:
She had three people with her.. all treated like children by her tho they were much older. Her whole career and personality has always screamed fake in my opinion. That day on the elevator justified my initial thoughts on the subject.
Kim says:
kinda how i felt since the beginning too. just to perfect to be real.
bkb says:
people get over it, it is a christmas cd with wonderful singers, not one outshined the other, so quit trying to make it a contest of who did the best job. it is what it is, a wonderful cd and nothing more with what elvis or parker would have thought.
Kevin says:
As long as people still want to hear Elvis’ music, and they definitely do… I dont blame anybody for putting out new products for people to buy. I dont care if it was done for greed or any other reason. There are alot of people that will buy it and really really enjoy it, so thats fine with me. I think most everybody would do the same thing as his ex wife and continue to make money off the music if they could.
Ashley says:
Okay, let me start off by saying that Carrie’s duet with Elvis is very lovely. I was born in 1990, but knew of Elvis’ music. To have Carrie sing with the King is very nice.
And about this personality thing about Carrie….I got the pleasure to meet her when she had her concert in Dallas October 30th. She was very nice and sweet. And she was very quiet. So I don’t buy the whole cursing thing. She said out of her mouth that the worse thing that she said was “poop”. Last time I checked, that isn’t a cuss word. Secondly, you don’t know what had happened that day or how she felt. I know that sometimes when I get sick and don’t feel good I can get bossy and grouchy myself. So that’s my opinion on that.
countryiscool says:
All I can say is I hope with a new week, it brings new blogs- this one is getting real OLD. I love Carrie & most pop-country artists, but while I believe everyone is entitled to enjoy the ones they do, I wonder about the need to harshly judge & belittle another.
Samantha says:
Carrie did a nice job on the song. I have always loved her voice. Good Job Carrie!
Karen says:
Listen to Carrie’s duet w/ Elvis. Loved it!!! Great job Carrie. Plus, she’s a sweetheart and nice to her fans :D
BD says:
Carrie is so geniune, nice and so super talented. I think Elvis would be so proud to sing with any of these ladies! Great job, Carrie! Keep up the great work!
King says:
Carrie is not genuine. At all. You people are blind and absurd. What’s wrong with you? Honestly?
DL says:
Nothing wrong with me King.
I’ve met Carrie and she is genuine and sweet and adorable and gorgeous and on and on.
Have you met her King?
I too feel Elvis would have been proud to sing with carrie and these other talented women.
AJ says:
WOW—There is a lot of green on this board (jealousy or envy?). Whoever thought of the duets album was smart. Elvis is still very popular today and the album will sell well. All the ladies did a good job on the record and I think Elvis would be very proud that after all these years he is still well liked and respected. I really enjoyed all the songs. All that hate will get you nothing but unhappiness and life is too short.
Tenn says:
If you like just Elvis singing the Christmas carols, listen to those - if you like the lovely women of country music and Elvis listen to the great Christmas duets album - something for everyone, how nice ! Selfish thinking to wish things to be just the way you want them all the time, let everyone enjoy the world, it’s better that way
K says:
First off, the album is a done deal..you haters should stop complaining….
Secondly regarding Carrie’s personality…Bottom line is, at the end of the day, Carrie affects herself and nobody else. If she’s a snot, all she’s doing is losing crediblity with those who admire her. if she’s a fake, all she’s doing is lying to herself and trying to live a life that is obviously not real.
But, I also believe that often celebs (and people in general) pick and choose who they want to be nice to, some people get the snot, some people get the sweetheart. I have a feeling that attitude goes on with many these days, and sadly, it is not uncommon. So, even though I think Carrie is far from a bad person, she may be putting on specific images depending on who it is.
For instance, I’ve heard lots of stories from fans saying she doesn’t sign on the street, pose for pics, ect. But, I’ve also heard fans say she has been nothing but sweet at meet and greets and concerts.
Then, I’ve heard stories of people who live in Oklahoma who say she is a complete snob, but then there are others who say she is sweet as can be.
I personally think, because there are so many conflicting stories, Carrie probably isn’t 100% genuine, but hey, a lot of people in this world aren’t.
RedMaZ says:
Is this what it sounds like to be a slave to Mainstream Pop Culture?
Gab says:
Hey K I get what you’re saying.
For instance you come across as both a snot and a snob in your post. Now maybe to others you’re as sweet as can be but here …not so much.
Great cd.I love it!!
IlikewhatIlike says:
To judge another person by what is written by people on a message board or blog is just crazy. Just like the tabloids, people behind those keyboards can say or make-up anything. You wouldn’t want people to judge you that way, so treat others the way you would like to be treated. I can’t believe that those who trash other people for fun won’t some day regret what they have done. Karma can be a funny thing and guilt can eat away at you for years. So think before you type. It could come back to haunt you.
AFAN says:
Hey K I think you don’t know anything about Carrie–so why would you put I have heard this or I have heard that–just another Carrie basher. And Alison is no better for leaving this blog up.
King says:
AFAN, why are you defending someone who cares nothing for you?
King says:
All of you people who go ga ga over these big time country starts should watch a film titled “Face in the Crowd” with Andy Griffith.. you’ll feel silly because you’re being played for the sheep that you are.
countryiscool says:
Baaa Baaa….
K says:
First of all, I’m far from a Carrie basher. I own all her CD’S, payed hard-esrned money to see her in concert, and I voted for her all through AI. No, I don’t know Carrie, I’ve never met her and I probably never will. Because of this, y’all may think I may be judging her too harshly, and that I may be and you all are welcome to that opinion.
But, I am far from from an unintelligent person, and I make up my own mind. Fact is, I know Carrie is human, she makes mistakes, and she is absolutly tittled to bad days.
But, the Carrie I’ve heard about isn’t excatly the nicest all the time- ie, SOMETIMES the problem may be her attitude, not bad days. I’ve heard numerous stories not from internet blogs- fans. Fans who liked her before, but have had bad experiences with her adittude in real life.
I’m not saying I believe every negative thing I’ve ever read or heard about CU is true, but I’ve heard dozens of stories, and I’m not dumb enough to think all of them are fabricated.
And, no one here knows Carrie, anyway. If you met her and she’s a snob, that doesn’t mean she is. If you met her and she was sweet, that doesn’t mean she is. It cracks me up how you people are so defensive over someone you’ve never seen act negativly or positivly in real life. You all act like you know her because you follow her career or MAYBE you’ve had ONE encounter with her. One encounter doesn’t equal knowing someone as a person. All of you who defend and bash her don’t know her.
And YES I do know alot about Carrie: She was born in Muskogee, OK in 1980, born March 10, grew up in Chacota Ok, and want to college to become an aspiring journalist. She tried out for AI on a whim and auditioned in St Louis MO and won season five. Her debut album sold seven million copies and all singles went #1. Her second album went #1 on the country charts and has sold 2 million copies, and has multiple #1’s.
She became a member of the Grand Ole Opry in May, and has been named top female vocalist 2 yrs running. Her Carnival Ride Tour has played to over one million fans thus far.
BD says:
I don’t understand why all the off subject stuff on this blog. The blog is about the Elvis Duets CD not about whether someone has a bad day or not. The music speaks for itself. It is great! Carrie is very talented and makes alot of fans very happy with her music. I would rather someone be real than fake happy all the time like some artist because you know that isn’t real. My mother always told me to never believe anything you read and only half of what you see!
Sammie says:
K..if you are not a Carrie basher, then why do you feel the need to write negative things that you don’t know is true or not? I have read hundreds of fan accounts also that have nothing but nice things to say about Carrie. I think the reason her fans get so defensive is that some people take any and all opportunities to make her look bad whether there is truth in the statements or not. I guess that is the price of fame. Take this blog for instance…it is about a duet not about her personality or what one fan said and another said. Totally off the blog subject but a chance to say something negative. The Elvis Duet CD is great! The ladies that sang on this CD did a wonderful job and their voices blended wonderful with Elvis. I would recommend buying this CD and enjoying some great Christmas music from some wonderful artists!
King says:
Let’s all talk about how John Rich got knocked out with one punch on lower Broadway at a honky-tonk because he was being rude to people in the bar including the band that was playing.. and the reason JR was angry was because the band didn’t know how to play Blue Moon of Kentucky and instead played him In the Pines. Well, that didn’t work for JR and he shoved one of their fans outta the way and talked trash to the band. Well, he shoved the wrong fella.. and got knocked out with one punch. That’s a much better topic than a silly Elvis duets album.
junior says:
You can check out an autograph signing that Carrie did before a concert - it’s on youtube from Oct 18 of this year - called “Carrie Underwood signing autographs” The topic of this blog is” I’ll Be Home for Christmas” Carrie’s duet with Elvis - and I think it’s beautiful - I bought the CD of the duets and it’s darn great - all the duets are done really well
DLL says:
Ohh K why the pressing need to bash Carrie?Because that is indeed what you are doing. And no you don’t know a lot about Carrie - you got something as basic as her birth year wrong - 1983!And she won season 4 of AI. These are just basic facts an intelligent person would get right. While were on the subject of intelligence …what the heck does tittled mean?
Please share these numerous stories from fans instead of just alluding to them as one would do if they were just a figment of ones imagination.
The fact is Carrie is human just like the rest of us.She meets hundreds of people a day and if a few get miffed because she doesn’t fawn all over the then that’s just the way it is.They need to recognize private time when they see it.
This Cd is remarkable in the way it was executed. Seamless.
Bravo Priscilla and the beautiful artist for giving this to us.

I REALLY LIKE MARTINA ON THIS CD AND HER VIDEO, BUT NOT CU TO MUCH I THINK HER VOIDE DOES NOT GO AS WELL WITH ELVIS, JUST MY THOUGHT.
MLD says:
To each his own I guess star.
I find that Carrie and Elvis’s voices blend remarkably well together. By far the best cut on the cd to me.
Brian says:
Wow! Carrie sounds really great with Elvis. This CD is really good. Carrie’s other bonus cd that you get with Carnival Ride is darn good, too! This girl can really sing. I would recommend buying both for some great Christmas music!
lauren says:
star, be quiet we all know you don’t like carrie. along with redmaz and king. why do you still post here? and dont say anything about freedom of speech, because if you don’t like someone why do you have to bring others done with you? thats all your trying to do.
diamond says:
lauren, lay off star she can say what she wants if it was that bad it would be deleted! by the way star is right martina did sound better with elvis, carrie is not that bad but martina duet was better.
lauren says:
diamond, you and star are the same person so go somewhere else. and i never said martinas song with elvis wasnt good. of course your comment wasnt deleted because alison likes taylor and so do you! star says things that are bad about carrie and says good things about taylor. she obviously doesnt like her!
K says:
First off, I don’t feel the need to write negative things. If any of you were paying attention I did post about this album. My post seems negative because that’s what I’ve heard. Where exactly are all these positive accounts you speak of? And, I AM a Carrie fan, I don’t need to prove that to any of you.
Tenn says:
Well, people can say anything they want in blogs or posts on the internet, prob 90% of it is hogwash, people spouting for their own advantage - People can judge for themselves what they like and don’t like, everyone on the internet these days is a desktop critic, people can hear the tracks for themselves and decide whether they want to buy the album or not= I listened to the tracks , thought they were great and bought the album.
Kathy Ford says:
