"Everything Is Fine" for Josh Turner

In "Everything is Fine," his third single off the album of the same name, Josh Turner sings that he's "feelin' good, and everything is fine." And I believe him. It's such a descriptive and casual feeling song that it reminds me of little tunes that I sometimes fumble with over the course of a good day at work or maybe while spending a nice day outside and by myself. I'll just sing about whatever I'm doing (my lyrics never really rhyme, though). And that reminds me that sometimes the best moments are not when something monumental is going on, but just when things slow down enough to look around. Like when Turner sings, "I've got a home down on the river/I'm married to the woman of my dreams/Got a good truck that gets me down the highway/Everything is perfect, or so it seems." Personally, those brief moments of contentment are my favorite. Judging by his easy smile at the end of this video, he knows the feeling.

I really love this song too! And the video makes it that much better! Josh is my favorite artist, along with his musical hero, Randy Travis. I have fortunately had the pleasure of meeting both of them. I actually saw them together at the Ryman a couple weeks ago, but unfortunately they did not do a duet like they did on CMT Cross Country, which I LOVED! Anyways, the video is great and I love how it has photos of him and his family. Hope to see it at #1 on CMT!

I love Josh Turner’s Everything is Fine. It’s such a “feel good” song and the video does a wonderful job of portraying the lyrics. I would definitely like to see it at #1 on the CMT countdown.

What a perfect analogy you have written. You have captured the essence of Everythng Is Fine, both song and video, and described it well. Joy, peace, contentment, happiness, faith and hope are all words which describe what this video portrays to me. Good music reflects the emotions of and creates enotions in the listener. Josh Turner does both in his music by giving meaning and enjoyment. No wonder he is my favorite country artist, by far. I hope others will enjoy this song and video as much as I do.

I haven’t seen the video yet, but I love this song. I have heard some people say that it is arrogant of him to brag about how good it is to be a rising super star. That is not what this video is about. He is sort of describing what his life would be like if he weren’t a successful country singer, and saying as long as he has friends, family, and personal contentment everything would still be fine. Beautiful song, beautiful voice.
