Kellie Pickler's Got Carrie Underwood's Back
This is what friends are for. For those times when Elle magazine calls for a quote, and they say things like, "She's already proved she can sing her ass off. She can sell records. She can write. She can do it all. She's so talented, and she's sweet and beautiful -- all in one package." That's what Kellie Pickler told the magazine for their cover story on Carrie Underwood. It's too long to sum up the whole thing here, but it's worth the read because it goes way beyond the "who's-pissing-off-who" gossip that often surrounds Underwood stories. The best part is the vivid picture it paints of Underwood's 2004 audition for American Idol, pacing the hotel halls and wringing her hands before singing Bonnie Raitt's "I Can't Make You Love Me." It's ironic that she chose that song when she really could make America love her.

Because unlike other blondes we know, Kellie is sweet and sticks up for her friends, not stabs them in the back, or makes comments due to insecure, green-eyed envy over the fact that Carrie sings circles around her. Anyway, Kellie & Carrie BOTH are great and they have no need to “compete.”

In todays music business it is nice to know that the people coming into country music speak highly of those already in the top spots I think that is what drew me to country music back years ago when I would watch the awards shows and the winner would hug the loser and I was like “Why are you hugging her?” “To Brag or what?” and then it hit me or they must be friends outside of “Work” makes sense I think?????

Because Kellie and her quotes ALWAYS ROCK and that’s why Elle asked her! And why not? Kellie won 3 CMT Music Awards and has many fans here. CMT should do a lot more Kellie blogs and Kellie should be on a future Elle cover!

Nice article. Kellie is a class act. While I was not a fan of hers on AI, I have become a fan since she came to Nashville. Given the difficulty of her childhood, Kellie is blessed to have grown into such an accomplished and mature young lady. Carrie, of course, is a marvel and a country music treasure, I’m glad she has a good friend in Kellie.

So now Sony Records is using Kellie Pickler to say nice things about this American Idol loser Carrie Underwood since no other country artist would have anything nice to say about this phony the industry continues to force on them. Apparently Sony and the country music industry can’t take the hint music fans don’t like Carrie or her music, even with the millions who were suckered into buying Carrie’s first cd who are now refusing to buy her new cd, they still refuse to accept that Carrie doesn’t offer music fans anything they want.
And who cares what Kellie Pickler says anymore, all she ever says is what her label tells her to say, so why should anybody believe anything that comes out of her mouth. Seeing how Kellie allows her label to trash her career shows Kellie for the fraud she is. Not only do I not have any intention of buying Carrie’s cd but I won’t be wasting my time or money with Kellie or her music either. We will see how that works out for these dirtbags down at Sony. In fact, to make sure Sony really gets the message, I won’t be buying any Sony product ever again, be it cds, concert tickets, TVs, cameras, PlayStations, etc. Maybe when Sony see’s how many thousands they are losing from music fans like me then maybe they’ll finally get the hint. Seeing how Sony stock is tanking far more than the rest of the stock market it looks like I’m not the only one boycotting this sleazy corporation.

Carrie is a major find and a blessing for country music today. Look at the fans she has brought to this genre.Nine consecutive #1. Not even Shania has done that and she is my other favorite. kellie is a good friend and carrie too. they are both fond of each other and always have the sweetest things to say, they both came from american idol and i think that is enough to be friends they know the nerves the fears and the pressures from being on that show, it made them stronger people and i think that they will accept kristy lee cook with open arms too, carrie has already wrote a song for her for her album, i think there all great and gifted…young beautiful women…..jessica simpson should take notes how to be classy, friendly and to not put other beautiful women down, jealousy is never good, and honestly i think jessica doesn’t know country at all it’s all a plan to help her gain respect for once in her failing singing career.
