Who knows, maybe it’s like flypaper for NFL players. Jessica Simpson’s new fragrance, Fancy, that is. Maybe it will make you irresistible in the clubs and inspire you to take on the world. All kidding aside, it does smell nice. And I would say it is certainly appropriate for most situations. Not too overpowering or formal and not too sugary causal. I frequent these threads because I enjoy the camaraderie with my fellow country fans, the majority of whom clearly share my distaste for Ms. Simpson. She has drawn us all together in a way she surely never intended – much the way the shared misery of a stuck elevator can draw people together. I find it to be invigorating!

JS is only famous because she has been marketed well and pushed down people’s throats until you almost start believing she really is talented. Then you wake up and realize she just has a really good agent and was in the right place at the right time. It is sad that there are REALLY talented people out there that will never have the chance to break into show business but this chick makes millions. I just don’t get it.

Veronica, we comment on her crap because we have to vent or we would explode. It is frustrating to many of us that this chick is now deemed one of the top country stars when she basically bought her way in. We have to get out how we feel or we will explode. Additionally, I am REALLY sick of JS always reminding us of who she is dating. I have never seen any other person in show business brag about their love life. Do you hear Anglelina saying “oh, you know I live with Brad Pitt” everyday!!!!! Please, jessica simpson is so desperate it is annoying.

antijess, Sounds as though you are a slave to Mainstream Pop Culture. It seems about half who listen to it really like most of it. The other half hates most of it, but continues to listen to it anyway. I personally don’t see her as one of the top country stars. This is what I did. I checked out her CD by suggestion. I didn’t like what I heard. I have chosen not to listen to her again. As far as you saying, “I just don’t get it”. I agree, you don’t. I feel any person/artist/act can do what ever they want to do. More power to them. Bottom line is it’s my choice to listen and or support them. But I consider myself an independent free thinker too.

I like Jessica’s song Come on Over. I like a few others on her new CD(which I listened to). The last time I looked the magazines that had an article about her had her on the cover. Here’s a suggestion, if you don’t like her don’t buy it. If the mention of her on these blogs makes you soooo angry don’t open it. Just a suggestion.

I have to say….that I got to meet her while working her swimwear fashion show…and I was pleasantly surprised at how nice she was treating everyone. She wasn’t stock up at all…She was super sweet and very aware of everyone around her. I personally feel the “ditsyness” (not sure how to spell that)is an act. I own a few pair of her shoes and handbags and I love them and have gotten compliments everytime I wear them. As a name brand she is doing great! So why not try with the perfume?
